American Sign Language

Does anyone here know ASL?
If so, what level?
What caused you to learn it?

I have become infatuated and would love to practice with people if anyone actually does know it.

I am intermediate; I've been studying for a year in my spare time, at the pace of a normal class probably. My receptive skills could use some work. I know maybe 500 signs? Hard to measure.

I dated someone who is studying to become an ASL interpreter and he introduced me to it; fell in love ever since.

You need to know 2000 words to be fluent.

However not every language has 2000 words in it.
