Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

I managed to get a hold of Chris today and I have some good news that I think will please most of you.

A re-judging will not be held, and the current winners will keep their prizes. HOWEVER, We will also be fusing the current list with the community-driven list made by the EX Crew so that even more teams will be able to get the prizes that they rightfully deserve.

I will see if I can get in touch with EX Crew so that we can discuss this over chat later tonight when I have time. Chris also apologizes for the terrible mis-management of the judging process and made sure that this structure will not be used next contest.

(there,^^^^ now its quoted, as if we have 10 rpg's and 11 EX crew's on this freaking forum, I hope everyone can see this quote now)

the competition is over RPG you choosed the winners, that's it, that's enough, I don't need EX crew to tell me I didn't win or that we are "noobs", we know

"an ignorant". Nice work there. When did I show off? I've already said I didn't think my level should've been first. You expect me to hack the game to refuse the prize?

Also, you didn't quote anything to understand and you're not admitting anything...

because RPG changed the rules on the EE blog, everyone could use black blocks //forums.everybodyedits.com/img/smilies/smile besides imo black is a legit block from EE if RPG or anyone don't appreciate it fine, but it wasn't   against the rules.

if this post
"You didn't win.

You're a noob."
wasn't a replay to me fine my fault, if it was and it wasn't a joke then yes, this was just to show off or to make me angry or you know what, cuz it makes no sense to call me a noob, or you don't understand my quote about my opinion towards Ex crew and RPG.
nvm its not about your level its about all who have won the competition, I was saying that EX crew will judge the levels more strictly than RPG did, therfore I personally don't need to know I didn't win, yet again, because I know they would   have higher pretentions than RPG. Your level is fine, but don't call me a noob because of my opinion.

Idc about having my level placing 1st like i wanted to,it just wasnt good enough.Thats the end of it.Please everyone SHUT UP ABOUT THE JUDGES!PM me about whether you think the judging for the contest was right/good.I will be making a poll for RPGmaster2000 and please dont copy my idea.Im in a rage too,but please calm down for just a bit while they decide on things. Some of the levels were complete crap, with minis and art.Ughh.Makes me mad.Why dont everyone who is PO,troll a world.Or just troll one of your own worlds.I think everyones level should get a place and at least get 50+ energy for participating and working hard.RPG,do you agree?(Hahaha rhyme)Check out my world,if you could and have spare time.My opinion!

Re: Halloween contest feedback thread.

Summing up the whole contest in three words:

A ****ING CATASTROPHE!

Now, I still honor Chris for what he does, regardless of his choices, but apparently, this contest went downhill before it even began - Worse than the time we tried launching a crew contest.

And all in all, it's causing all of us to rage over nothing but smileys and blocks, GET AHOLD OF YOURSELVES PEOPLE!

It's just a game, it's just a developer, it's just nothing to get **** about, K? K.

I DO NOT tolerate pointless raging, I DO NOT approve of any types of bouts that are caused by this game, and I definitely DO NOT approve of people raging over a contest that was never meant to work out from the beginning.

End my rage, others' rage incoming.

I dont think it would be very fair to the people who didnt place.Like if my world got nothing in the real judging, but ex crew rated my level for a third place i would get 1 prize possibly. But if Dazz's level got 1st for EX but got 3rd for the real judging,I would give him the prize he deserved for the real judgng, and maybe give him 100 energy. But dont give him a place because he won for the real judging.Sounds fair to me.(Btw Dazz was an example)

it is about creating a level that best represents the American holiday of Halloween

First off, Halloween is NOT American (seriously)

Secondly, just because a theme of a holiday does not apply to your country's version, does NOT make it an invalid theme.

For example, in Sweden, for Christmas/Advent, they construct a massive straw goat. Half the people fight to keep it up, and half the people fight to burn it down.

So if we were to have a Christmas competition, and I drew a straw goat on fire, it would be a completely valid submission.

Just because something isn't a part of your culture and daily life does not make it invalid.

You're an idiot. I never said any such a thing. You are probably making an incorrect assumption based on my reviews of the halloween levels. I would correct you, but it is not worth my time.

My initial thought was to try to leave the original winners alone as much as possible and just consider the teams that didn't place at all accordingly. I'm sort of against trying to raise or lower the current positions of the winners as that would be kind of unfair, and just add more teams rating from 3rd to 1st. One thing is for sure, and that is that no team that was previously nominated will sink to a lower place, I really don't want to start taking away promised items because of an oversight on my part.

Re: Halloween contest feedback thread.

so. next contest I just upload a fine map ^^maybe something what many accuse me of, what they call [censored]
If some art-stealing smilis can do so, why not upload at all?

All I see is Chris and his judges are seemlingly not interested in their game, neither the forum and its community. Poor developer not listening to his com and their concerns ...

Re: Halloween contest feedback thread.

Personally, I think that the Ex Crew's ratings SHOULD be publicly noted and SHOULD get some sort of consolation prize if they didn't place, but I don't think it's right if they get the same prizes those who officially placed. Like the smileys and trophies, etc. In the Christmas contest, the only prize was energy, and even if you got in the top ten, if you weren't in the top 3, you didn't get crap. (I disliked that.)
In the Easter contest, ten teams got prizes. I'm okay with that. The prizes are pretty exclusive. (I still somewhat disliked that, but it was understandable.)
Yet now you're going to be giving 25 teams a prize?
I think that if someone was in the top 25, they should at the very least get some small prize, but not the same prize as those who officially placed. If they officially placed, but not on Ex's list, they get the prize for officially placing. If they're on both lists, they should get what they got, and whatever people on the top 25 got.
I was thinking the ex crew's list should get 50 or so energy, just to keep it a bit more exclusive.

Although, I just might be completely biased, I'd like to think my opinion would be somewhat similar even if I hadn't won.
I personally don't think Escape your Fears deserved first. There were better levels. But we got it, so we should get our prizes nonetheless, despite community outrage.
Ummm, and next time there's a contest, we should probably not let Chris handle anything except ok the prizes. He messes things up a lot, even though he has good intentions.

You have a lot of good ideas here that I could bring up with the community judges, to be honest. I like the idea of having separate prizes for being officially nominated and community nominated, but this is of course something that I need to run by with Chris to see if he's okay with it.
