when you place a block (or blocks), you get one extra block the next time around (eg. you place 4 blocks and 3 minutes later you get to place 5)
to prevent anybody's count from getting too high, everybody's block count is reset every 3 hours

The Great Wall of Sadness™

when you open up the minimap, you can see many notable creations. the blue corner, the void, the lattice...
however, there's one project that you can't see there. that project is the Great Wall of Sadness™.
the wall was created by prophecy, cola1, and several others. the concept is simple: a large mass of signs with sad faces.
the wall covers a large area, close to half the area of the blue corner. but don't worry if you built something near the wall; the wall does not destroy, it only surrounds. however, it's not just signs! it also contains this afk made by gosha.

you can't see it, but it contains many invisible portals.
if you're an ee/place sightseer, the wall is certainly worth a visit.

Blue continues their conquest

blue continues to relentlessly spread across the map, now with a full 37 completed blocks. because of this, several other projects are being damaged or destroyed. nearly all of the original void is gone, and that stick figure is now frowning because he has lost his legs and part of his torso. the lattice may also have reason to worry, as they're right next door.
many have tried and failed to overpower blue. will blue ever be stopped? only time will tell.

The seahorse invasion

early on in ee/place, a blunt was built by insanity with several contributors. almost as quickly as it was built, it was trolled with seahorses. but this was only the beginning of something bigger.
around the 24-hour mark, the transcontinental highway cut through the blunt. what was inside? not weed, but seahorses. an army of these little things had been released.
fast forward to another 24 hours later, and the blunt is now just a mass of seahorses.

as you can see in the picture, pwnzor is the one behind the takeover. now seahorses are spreading to many other creations, specifically text. they don't seem to destroy creations (other than the blunt), but they'll certainly bring down how they look.
tl;dr protect your possessions from seahorses

The mythical Pingohit arrives

with all the activity in this world, even the mythical creatures of ee are joining the fun!
what is the Pingohit? it is a yellow creature that wears a flower on its head. it will not harm your creations, but simply announce its presence by saying "am pingohit".
the Pingohit has been spotted in at least 3 places around the world. if you see it, make sure to say hello!

Love this world

I just think It's boring to wait every 3 minutes for a block to come. Especially when you start to lag after 10 minutes, it becomes unbearable

Been enjoying the world a lot.

Regarding the original reddit concept, I can't help but think that targeting those tens of thousands of people with a well placed-ad would have potentially paid off a lot for this game. Oh well.

I appreciate the chance to recreate the original place's blue corner!

That seems silly. Why not just have a limit, like 10-20 blocks?

Was fun until the bot crashed and everyone got 40 blocks for free, when me and a few others had to work our way up ourselves.

Even after red team's efforts to stop blue and take over the map, blue has won the conquest with 30 blocks in good state, compared to red's 24 blocks.

Purple team and white team did also start their way up to map conquest. But they started too late, only making successfully one block each team.

A lot of acid rains have also taken unexpectedly over a lot of good projects from other members of the community. Sadly, it killed one pingohit.
