Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

ok, I have figured this out:
step 1: make sure you remember which side is right, and which is left.
step 2: now, RIGHT click the EE item that you want.
step 3: You should see the option "zoom in"
step 4: right click that item on EE and click zoom in untill it is too far.
step 5: then, you should see the pixels of that item (well, the color of the pixels, not the actual pixel)
step 6: Make a new tab, and then go on EE, and on to your world.
step 7: use the pixels from the first tab to make that item!
step 8: on the first tab, if you want to zoom out, right click, then press "show all".
step 9: Your finished!
Look at the art i have made with this technique: grinch: http://everybodyedits.com/games/PWAMCVUfqZa0I
Can do this by putting into paint or animator, Its simply sprite copying
Player Since 2011. I used to make bots and stuff.

uhhhhh...
thats not how you make art.
This is not how you make art. Well kinda for some people but art doesn't work like that.
This is how you copy art, not make art.
Learn the difference. xP

Nobody makes art in the EXACT same way. Everyone does it differently. They copy sprites, upload, make Irl pixel art, all KINDS of crap.
not exactly an art tutorial, but at least he was being helpful.
I wonder if people think the Mona Lisa was simply copied.

Old news... i used that tecnique a LONG time ago
But this is how to make sprites. And who would take hours copying each individual pixel of a picture?
This can only show you how to make good pixel art, which classifies you as a noob.
Besides, the grinch you made doesn't even look remotely similar to the grinch smiley.
