I'm very picky when it comes to making art, is anyone else the same?

Things I HATE:

Making My own levels

People "helping" me with my art. I understand they're trying to be polite, but I have my own vision, and they can't read my mind on what I want.

People working on my levels. (unless it's a silly pointless level) this kind of goes with people "helping me with art"

People copying my art or taking credit for my art. I honestly don't care if people copy if they give credit, but if not that's kind of rude.

Crews, i've been in a couple crews, but I'm just not always inspired by their levels, and they think I just don't want to help. If I have to make art when I don't feel like it then I either half way make art and don't finish it, or it looks crappy.

Everybody edits contests. Sometimes I'm not in the mood to make entire levels when they come out with contests, so I don't do them. (but also because I suck at making minis)

Thing I like:

Helping people with their levels (if their levels inspire me enough to make something) Sometimes people will ask me for help on levels, but I'm just not inspired enough by the concept.

Fire! I love making fire, not only because it's easy; but because it looks awesome! ( I should come out with a tutorial for this sometime)

Now I know I'm not an ee amazing artist, I mainly do art in real life.

Yes. Yes. Yes. I know how you feel. I like coming up with my own style. That's why I mostly go solo.

Off topic: saw your sig :/ i loved that level too even if it didn't have minis. That art was the best I've ever seen from anyone.

Yes, I am quite picky about art. And I agree with almost all those points. I like that irl drawing. Btw.

YES. I'm trying to make a tree, a nub comes up and ruins it when its near perfect by "helping." One time I was making a whole foreset when the owner came an "helped." I trolled his level a lil bit, even tho it sucked.

I agree with this.
Making a sketch of a tree, and then the other guy starts making the common 3 blocks wide and a circle tree.
Making an experimental ground texture, and then some guy starts to "troll" it or just simplify the rest TOO MUCH, and then I have to remake the part I did.
And then the guy says "i dunno how to make that so just help me" - I did both things up there in the past (you can see it in my profile, because most of my levels are old), but I've learned to experiment and make new stuff.

(got a bit of time for the forums, I'm in vacation)

That's why I can't create crews, I can join crews and make art how they want it alas it doesn't work vice-versa.

after chris removed decorations colors it stinks all nice levels with detailed decorations sucks:(

I prefer to make my own art, but I can usually describe it to someone well enough that they can help.

Usually no one can stop me once I really have a great idea and want to get it to EE. Otherwise I bore myself and try to figure out a new project.

Regarding art of other users, I usually rate between "art" and sprite art, which I usually not pay attention to. Art covers the map, it is part of minigames or anything else on the map, but art fills a major part and plays a central role in your map.

So..yes, I am picky

Sometimes I do get in the mood to make a level, and then people want to help.   It's rare that I want to though. The level in my sig I made after not making a level for months. It's just how I am I guess.
