You're bad.

Remember when the staff's goal was to provide updates that the community wanted? I do. That was before you came in and decided to soak the game for every penny that MrShoe left behind. I think it's funny that you almost used the exact same method that MrShoe had used. Rushed updates > some gimmicky **** (magic classes/campaigns) > paid subscription service > no community interaction.

I never liked the idea of you joining the team, but NVD was so sure that you would be a great addition. I agreed, just to see what would come of it. Booooooooiiiii did that backfire.

When I was banned, you had the impression that everyone in EE hated me. I think that's why you made the initial "JaWapa demodded" post in a really nasty tone. You thought people would rally behind you, because you shared the same hate. When you found out that wasn't the case, you came back with "Oh, stupid auto-correct. I meant, you'll be missed JaWapa."

Your community interaction is awful. It's rare that you make an appearance. When you do, it's usually to post something really snarky towards a forum user, or sit AFK in an update world. You said it was difficult to work on EE, because everyone whines all the time. Maybe, if you catered to the communities wants, instead of pulling random updates out of your ****, people wouldn't complain about them. Maybe, if you consulted with the community about who you're adding to the staff, there would be a lot less ****. Maybe, if you would just listen for once, people would be much happier with you're doing.

I'm really confused on how you enforce rules. It seems to me like you only enforce them when it's convenient, or makes you look good.
Example 1:

Yes, she was banned. I don't remember what it was for, or when. I know that the ban was there one day, and completely removed from the DB another.

The game was doing well before you took over. Now look. You've done a fine job taking it down, and making sure it can't get back up.

Everyone globally hated MrShoe. He was largely absent. Nou is present and the only reason you think everyone hates him is because you're staring through 5 feet thick rose tinted glasses. Everybody always sees their own side as bigger than it is.

EDIT: Honestly I'm not sure where you're getting the idea that everyone was all like "oh no rip in peace jawapa you will be missed bad nou." I'm not sure if you or I are mis-remembering how things went but I recall people were largely saying things like "glad to see that racist leave" "can't say I'm surprised tbqh" "good riddance".

Under Nou weren't potions removed and BC changed in order to not be money focused?

AFAIK he is an English teacher which is a full time job with overtime.

Nou is Everbody Edits' general manager. He manages the team, makes sure everyone is doing their job, and, most importantly, steers the direction EE goes. This includes planning future updates, discussing these with the team, and keeping track of the administration. In addition, any small things that need to be done, Nou does it.

His staff description says nothing about being a PR guy.

Nou also caught a lot of ****. There were some people who were glad to see I was demodded, but were unhappy with how Nou handled things.

Potions had little to do with money. And BC was around for a good chunk of Nou's ownership.

When I was a mod, I was in school and working a part time job. Still had time to make an appearance.

Well, since he banned their PR guy, and is the owner of the game, I would expect him to assume that role. It's not like he does much of anything else for the game.

Nothing has been done with Unity since August. That's some serious dedication.

Didn't Nou say it was nothing to do with money? Stressful day and made a mistake to get someone off his back.

To be honest, I don't know the whole story either. But Loot said it was due to them spending a lot of money on the game. Nou has unbanned people before because they were big spenders. I wouldn't doubt if this was a similar case.

Nothing has been done with Unity since August. That's some serious dedication.

The updates have been quiet, but considering the time of year and previously the dedication to Unity - nobody is at fault.

If you hadn't noticed by now, the entire progress of the game has been to milk money from it, including Chris.
The only difference is, Chris is much better at advertising, micro-transactions, and already had a golden spoon with Nonoba.

He made a game about hexagons that has had more traffic and ad revenue Everybody Edits has had for the last year.
Now, that's what I call depressing.

"ninja perma-banned" - Everyone hated ninja because he loved to make people feel bad. He said it himself. He is a literal sadist.
"Unbanned for money" - Have you ever heard of paid ban-appeal? It's a common thing.

I really feel like you're trying too hard to find things wrong with Nou. I do have to agree that he doesn't spend enough time interacting with the community, though.

Nearly every update released has been rushed. Thanel/CJ/NVD have bent over backwards to reach ridiculous deadlines.
That's why there have been several occasions where Nou said there would be an update, then an hour later said it was being delayed.

No one enjoyed magic classes. Campaigns are alright, they're a lot better than magic classes. But I think many people were disappointed in how things played out in them.
And while it may be enjoyed, it was still a gimmick to increase revenue.

"Everyone" only applies to the people who reside in the IRC.  This is due to the fact that that's where Ninja attacked users most of the time.  On EE, he is hardly seen going around just to make people feel bad.  JaWapa likely believes it was because of the hate of the IRC users that got him permanently banned, since most people who actually play the game had no opinion on it.  People in the chat room hardly play the game.

Loot, on the other hand, had broken rules likely to get similar results, yet he was unbanned rather than permanently banned.  This is inconsistent moderation - someone who pays for the micro-transactions within the game should not be judged differently, let alone favorably, unless in a ban appeal section within the rules explicitly says so.  This is in my opinion, at least.

Alright, I guess that it's reasonable to say his updates are rushed.

Usually if a player is willing to pay themselves out of a ban, they're also willing to clear up their act. That's why it's not a bad idea. And if they don't clear up their act, then you just ban them again.

Well, that's not what happened in this case. Loot hadn't payed to be unbanned. They had only (supposedly) spent a lot of money on items.

Wanna bet? Everyone complains. About. Everything. Its just a fact of life in this game. This game is an all consuming abyss that attracts the most volatile and toxic people and forms one of hostile communities I have ever had the pleasure of being a part of.

No matter who is in charge, people are going to find a reason to hate them. The obnoxious "Mirin squad" is going to like whoever lets them continue to be emotionally stunted, frat rejects. N1KF and his band of nauseating rule nazis are going to like whoever tries to make EE a dictatorship. Theres no winning with you guys.

And now for the real question. I know you guys hate it when this card is played, because  it makes you confront how ridiculous and empty your self righteous anger truly is.

But why in the flying **** does it matter? Why does this community insist on self destructing every time a person is placed in """""""""charge"""""""""???? If you dont like it, close the computer and do something else! You aren't being cyberbullied by Nou (I'm assuming...Ninja pretty much has that market cornered) so just LEAVE if its bothering you that much! If its really messing you up this much, you probably have some other issues you need to work out before worrying about who's in charge of a game thats community is smaller than some middle aged mom's blog following.
