Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Scammers have one goal: To take your money and/or personal information.
Most of them use this trick where you win a ton of money, but have to pay a ,,shipping fee,, or somthing.
Something similar happened to me earlier today. I was home alone when i hear the house phone ringing.
Me: Hello?
Person (had an adult male voice): Hello young boy, ugh can you put an adult person on the line?? I need to tell him something.
Me: Well ugh, what is it?
Person: Well your family just won 1 000 000 000 dinars (Thats about 10 000 000 dollars) on Serbia's Grand Lottery!
Now being home alone i didnt have a parent to give the phone to, but feeling like this was a great opportunity i just decided to speak in a more heavy voice.
Me (heavier voice): Yes?
Person: Congratulations mister, you just won the Grand Lottery and with it, 1 000 000 000 dinars.
Me: Oh meh ged yadssss wooooooo kdadlkalsk
Person: ..... Are you done with the victory dance?
Me: Yes sorry im just so excited!
Person: Okay but we just need you to pay a fee of about 100 000 dinars, as a confirmation of it actuly being you. We will just need a bit of info.
Now i caught on. This was a scam, and the scammer is a pure idiot if he thinks this couldve worked, for two reasons.
1. Logically, who needs to pay a fee to confirm their identity?
2. My parents dont gamble, they never even bought a lottery ticket in their life, how could they win this?
Me: Ugh... okay...... what kind of info?
Person: First and Last name.
Me: Oh sure its Ma- oh god.
The dog is litterarly taking a dump on the floor. Wait can you hold for a moment?
Person: Okay???
*10 minutes later*
Me: Ugh okay i took the dog outside and cleaned up his things.
Person: You never suplied your name.
Me: Its Mark...... Wait i forgot my last name.
Person: What? Seriously?
Me: Sorry im just tired :c
Me: Oh wait i remember its *pause* Oh goddamnit the dog went through the door since i forgot to close it. Goddamnit hold on please.
*some more time passes*
Me: Ok i closed the door this time.
Person: Ok last name sir
Me: Mark.... BellPepper.
Person: Okay whats your city and address?
Me: Belgrade, 12/69 Tacoroad
Person: Mhm and how will you be paying the fee??
Me: Ugh i dunno. Why do i have to pay for somthin?
Person: You need to pay a fee of 10 000 dinars (lol he dun goofed).
Me: Cant you just take out 10 000 dinars of my winnings and hen ship it to me for free?
Person: Thats not how it works!
Me: Oh wait i just remembered something, is this that dual company with Serbia's Bingo? I had to pay like 2 000 000 dinars for their fee as well.
Person: Ughhhh yeaaaaaaaaaaaaah...........?
Me: Oh okay so how do you want the money delivered?
Person: Credit card, if possible.
Me: Oh okay sure, let me just find the credit card, please wait.
(I never actuly left, i stayed on the phone and heard this)
Person (whispering): Hehehehhehe 2 million dinars omg, his too good.
(people giggling in the background)
This job is so flipping easy.
Me: Ugh hi i have the credit card.
Person: Oh okay, can you tell me the numbers?
Me: 1 3 3 7 9 0 0 1
Person: Mhm whats the exparation date?
Me: 24/03
*person is typing something on his side*
Person: Wait, why is it saying its incorrect?
Me: Oh wait i think i said it wrong.
Person: Look i dont have time for jokes, do you want the money or NOT?? What are the first numbers.
Me: Ok jeez, ok i rechecked it. Its:
F l i p y o u .
And the exparation date is
N o o b
Person: So you dont have the 2 million?
Me: Sadly no.
Person: Oh go flip yourself, you wasted like 30 minutes off of my time!
Me: Oh also by the way, none of the info i gave you is correct, you got owned by a 15 year old boy and i know a certain forums with hundreds of people on it (these forums) and im sure they would love to read and share this story so people dont get scammed by your awful lying.
Person: Hey can you do me a favor? Light your phone on fire and shove it in your mouth.
*person ends the call*
I laughed for a while. This was too good. Im just waiting for my dad to come home so he can tell the police what happened and so they can track he phone call.

Just remember, if you're identified immediately as a "young boy" then changing your voice won't fool anyone. If this really did happen as stated, the other party had to have been playing along.
Also, judging by the word choice, I can tell that it is a... less than accurate transcription. How embellished is it really? :3

It was all in his head
The truth was something like this:
Me: sadly, I have no parents at home right now
Person: bye then

As a Serbian I can safely say that you practically can never get these kind of scammers, and they certainly wouldn't be this patient.
Not necceserally, sure its not as common in Serbia as say the US or somthin, but its still possible.
You might get one tommorow, who knows.

Well maybe, but if they realized it it would be safe to assume they would either question whats with my voice or just hang up entirely.
Also I had to translate it from Serbian and change a few things so it would make sense.

I expected a few comments like this. But i cant exactly proove if its real or not. Its mostly up to you if you think its true or not.
