I think I'm neutral with this idea.

I don't use toolbars, not even that little Google search box that comes bundled next to my URL bar.

Wait, is this for the forum or the actual game?

I presume both, there can be a link to the game and forums and anything related to EE on the toolbar.

Personaly, I wouldn't get the toolbar. but it could be quite good, though I don't think chris or the others will make it so it will be third party.

I don't want it because 1. Windows 7   2. 27" screen

That is only a dream. You need to get information from Everybody Edits to even get that. Also need to know programming.

Links are easy, but energy and such stuff will need coding...

I dont use toolbar. I use chrome, and add to the favorite tab.
