Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

It would show there proggramming talent because they have to make a way for the pack to only be for adults. It's illegal to do it for kids to see it.

but kids WILL see it, and that would get them in trouble.

Re: EE Social Version Competition

Being a judge, Aslai is winning. Although, Twipply isn't doing too bad, the reason I chose Aslai is because his includes chat. What a cool feature for me would be allowing the user to upload smileys/bricks and have them approved by the creator. Heck, if this goes good enough, we could have a game better than ee! More mods, everyone gets chat, more features, bricks, etc. So come on guys, LETS DO THIS!

Another thing I was wondering, could you guys pm me your from-scratch remakes?, I want to test them to see what they can do so far. I know it isn't much, but I mainly want to test the physics, because that is a big factor of the whole thing.

Anyway, great job so far guys.

Pencil tool, paint can, minimap, totally legit chat, entirely customisable block textures and properties, same for smileys, same for world dimensions, and some other random junk.   I wouldn't really be comfortable sending you a program unless I actually put some effort in to make it beautiful, this is not one of those programs.

You can edit stuff like this in the settings file:

# # Game stuff # Screen_Width 600 Screen_Height 600 Map_Width 150 Map_Height 150 Border 1 Max_Speed 10 Max_Move_Speed 10 Move_Speed_Increase 1 Max_FPS 60

If enough effort is put into this project, and instead of 50 different versions there is a single version.

And as for chat, obviously fake. //forums.everybodyedits.com/img/smilies/wink
(No harsh feelings...)

Also, I like what you did with the speed controls, map size, etc. Not a bad move. But another question is, is yours multiplayer? Can multiple people connect so chat could actually be real, because I always just see 1 person.

BTW, I don't see any of this "random junk". All I see are a few objects.

As for sending me it, I understand. You can pm me it one/if you are ready though. //forums.everybodyedits.com/img/smilies/smile

I was trying to suggest that EE is such trash that both versions are already superior.

No way!   Totally legit!

lrussell wrote:

I haven't attempted to make it multiplayer yet, no.   I'm not terribly interested in it or this 'competition', so any progress I make on it is just whenever I can be bothered.

You can't see it because the other stuff I couldn't be bothered to mention isn't in the screenshots.   You can save & load maps, for example.   There's also many more options in the settings file that I didn't show here.

Honestly, I thought it was so painfully obvious that I drew the 'chat' in paint that no one would actually think I tried to fake it.   It was a joke.

Very obvious, like he keeps saying. It's easy to make a chat.

Re: EE Social Version Competition

Twipply is just an easily distracted and lazy guy. I am too; I just have a much longer attention span than he does. pooped is easy to make if you already have multiplayer working. He obviously doesn't yet.

Internet related things are not my strong suit, as I've never really done it before.   However, I can still design a totally dongtacular chat which doesn't even crash when you resize the window:

This is all rather pointless though, as Twipply game players are solitary creatures.   Chat would only make them uneasy as best, and filled with rage over idiocy at worst.

As a judge, Aslai is winning because Aslai has multiplayer.
However, If Twipply uploads his work, he will be in the lead for playableness.

I don't actually plan on being a part of this 'competition', you know.

I am not competing either, due to your idiotic restrictions. My thing is already on the internet somewhere though.
