From all I know, Linus was a **** who just didn't understand that once a ban has been placed, you can't remove it unless a moderator or administrator lifts the ban. According to others, he flooded the forums with inappropriate content images which sealed the deal of Linus being permanently banned and turned into an infamous enemy, wanted dead or alive.
