Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

To keep order within the game/forum/IRC/whatever, these rules have been added to keep order so that order may be kept. While there are only five basic rules, the sub-bullets may be read so that one can gain the information gained from reading the sub-bullets containing the information to gain. Users may be punished as an act of discipline if they do not follow the rules as an act of prevention of further rule-breaking and to discipline those who break the rules to prevent further rule-breaking.
1. Be nice
Avoid flaming others, which includes attacking others with insults and name-calling.
Do not harass other users.
If you are able to clearly say your opinion in a way that does not attack or offend others, please do so.
No hate speech.
2. Be cool
Avoid raging. If you have something to say, try to say it calmly.
Try not to be annoying or obnoxious.
While some humour and jokes are allowed, try to be as mature as you can, and recognize you are responsible for your behaviour.
If you are not sure if anything is against the rules or not, ask a staff member. Try to avoid experimenting to see what is and what is not allowed.
Use "common sense", whatever that is.
3. Be appropriate
Try to keep a safe atmosphere to the game for all ages. If you think something you say is inappropriate for children, avoid publicly saying it.
Do not share excessively violent or explicit messages, images, links, or other material.
Do not avoid the censors. Avoiding it ruins the point of having an optional in-game censor.
4. Be safe
Never ask for passwords. Do not share passwords, either, regardless of whether or not it is yours or anybody else's.
Do not share or ask for personal information or other users, such as names, email addresses, locations, or phone numbers.
Do not share dangerous or illegal material, encourage, or ask for dangerous or illegal behaviour.
5. Use the forum in the way it is intended
Do not post nonsensical or meaningless messages (otherwise known as "spam").
Only post content that encourages mature discussion. The spam for—I mean forum games are excluded from this rule as long as they do not directly encourage spam.
Post content relevant to the topic. If the discussion goes off-track from what it originally was, create a new topic.
Do not double-post unless you have anything new to say. This excludes posting on a topic to bring it back to to the top to encourage more discussion (called "bumping").
Do not post on non-stickied topics that have not been posted in in the last two weeks (called "gravedigging"). If you have something new to say or add, you may make a new post there.
The Everybody Edits Staff Team reserves the right to change these rules or interpret them in ways we see fit the situation. For more information, see the Terms of Service.
