Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Soon, we will no longer have to buy action blocks over and over; unless you have BC of course.
When the developers said that they were going to make action blocks unlimited but at a higher price, I already had some doubts, and here's why...
Even if you have everything that you can buy once only, you still gain energy and there is nothing that you can do to avoid it. Luckily, there are things that you can buy more than one of which gives a use to energy late-game. But, the limited blocks are a good part of what we spent it on. Now that we won't have them, we will only be spending energy on more worlds, more crews (you don't really need more than three crews, two is already a bit of a stretch), and anything new that comes out that can be bought with energy, and doing will bring you over your max a few times, unless you have REALLY been playing for ages.
Energy has been in Everybody Edits for quite a long time, and it's sad to think that for more experienced players, it's losing its value. It's quite nasty for players that bought a lot of the limited blocks before, they spent all of their energy, which it takes just over a day to get around the general price of 10 action blocks, and now they could just spend in some cases less than they did getting as many as they want. If they spent gems on that, they even lost money. The fact that it is losing its value causes magic coins and maybe even campaign rewards to lose it too.
I'd like to change that. Right now I have two ideas to improve it:
1. Stay with limited action blocks and make them less of a pain to buy.
2. Go with unlimited action blocks and add an alternative to keep energy useful.
I'd go with 1 as it satisfies a good chunk of the things up here. I'd add my idea on how to do this but then I may as well put this in game suggestions.
Would you like 1, 2, or do you like the idea of unlimited action blocks? No hate please, I just wanted to give my two cents on the idea.

I don't have time for an elaborate response right now, but we are indeed looking for some alternative ways of spending energy. We already have a few, but the more ideas the better.

Instead of making unlimited, it could be something like:
+25 gold/blue coin doors/gates (both together)
+25 switch doors/gates
+25 timed doors/gates
+25 team doors
+25 spikes/fires (both together)
+10 checkpoints
+10 spawns
+10 portals (visible and invisible)
+10 signs
+10 effects
Cake unlimited
World portal still the same
This is a false statement.

Mainly limited blocks going to be unlimited because they block user's creativity
for exp. i wanted to make basic calculator, but i didnt finish it , because i ran of the switch doors. if they were unlimited, i had a working calculator now.
2nd: people always tell ee stuff, what prices on blocks are too high/low , making stuff have headage.
2. Go with unlimited action blocks and add an alternative to keep energy useful.
^people discussing right now what to do with energy

You don't have to be constantly purchasing something with your energy. Like, maybe just. Don't spend it? I don't see why havin unused energy is a problem. It's not like you're wasting it; energy is free.

So? What's the issue with that?

If you have nothing to spend it on, then don't spend it.
Don't make it worse for people who actually need energy where they can not put it in block packages they don't have or worlds.

Energy is stupid. Players need availability to all blocks etc. at the start.

Since you're always getting energy you should always have something to spend it on, plus when you are maxed out you don't get extra energy.

all these post about unlimited free blocks from the start and no one realized they still have to wait 8 full days just to buy one Massive
Offline
yes it will be better because the limit was really stupid in the first place and only created barriers for players

I still can't believe people are going on about this. It's like, if Apple decided to give everyone a free iPad, are people gonna whine because they don't have better things to spend their money on? Granted people who bought one should get some sort of compensation, but to whine about it is simply absurd.
People want better levels/more creativity? Make blocks unlimited

I cannot find the thread, but someone suggested something similar to what I'm describing below.
It might be interesting if one of the ways to spend energy would be as follows.
The screen would show:
- a text like "Every 200 energy gets your world at the top of the rooms list for 1 minute, no matter how many players are in your world.",
- a bar that could be filled from 0 to 12000,
- a world selection input similar to the one used for world portals, and
- a text like "Currently you have x minutes."
- a button like "Go!"
This means, for example, that if you'd have dumped 8000 energy into the bar, you could get your world at the top for 40 minutes.
Forty minutes may sound like a lot of time, but it would take the player roughly 2 weeks to collect those 40 minutes.
(Because 1 energy is 2.5 minutes, which means: 2.5 * 8000 = 20000 minutes = 333 hours = 14 days.)
Or, for example, 600 energy and get a world at the top for 3 minutes.
If filled to its maximum, the bar would have 12000 energy, which is 1 hour.
I think this would be very useful.
If you'd see a world at the top, you'd know its creator(s) are most likely serious about wanting to share it, given the energy investment.
It would also be useful for people who put lots of effort into worlds that barely got any plays.
It would be a big energy sink too, if that's what you're looking for.
I have permanently left the game and forum.
EE is an entertaining game and I enjoyed playing it...
...but it's time for me to move on.

Short version: increase the price, don't have all the blocks available from the start, and focus our attention on things better than blocks.
Long version:
If you've ever studied economics, this "debate" is meaningless. Nou has mentioned making them unlimited, but at a higher price, as OP mentions. This means supply is increased and then supply is decreased. If the price adjustment is appropriate, there won't be any effect on our little economy.
You mention that you will "run out of stuff to buy". Have you considered that we already have that problem? You can keep buying forever, but at a certain point you're going to have more than you will ever use. I have about 245 portals and I haven't come close to using all of them. At that point, you're just buying for the satisfaction of having a copious amount of items, not because you actually need them. And that's not something we should really care about or preserve. This change simply cuts to the chase and has tremendous benefit.
That being said, the problem of running out of stuff to buy will still exist. The solution is not to keep adding more blocks. Eventually, new players will be so overloaded with options that they will get frustrated. Nevermind the graphical implications (how do you display all those blocks?). Instead, the solution is to stop caring about new items. This idea is similar to what I've already said. You already have so many types of blocks. And you want more??? As a community, we're just demanding blocks for the sake of having a lot of blocks, not because we actually need them or will ever use them.
If you want the feeling of new elements, do what Minecraft does and layer them. You can't make a crafting bench without planks. You can't make a plank without wood. You can't make wood without punching a tree. Some items (for example, a redstone comparator) take dozens of items. This method is better for a variety of reasons. For one, you don't get overburdened by having hundreds of blocks in the shop. You also get the opportunity to "know" each block, because in the beginning, it's your only option. If you tier them in such a way that takes a lot of time, then you will not only extend the life of the shop but also create a sense of achievement when you buy them.
Another solution to the problem is to bring our focus onto other, more worthwhile, aspects, such as community, bots, and world development. Wouldn't you much rather have a brush tool than a new block? Or a monthly competition? That's a far more sustainable path that ultimately results in a better game.
Yeah, well, you know that's just like, uh, your opinion, man.

Not always true. I can't say on the art aspect of things (such as palette ,things like that) because I don't know about that, but I know there are some players that want more things they can do than what is usually done, which would mean having more action type blocks. And also a lot of blocks are themed based, which gives people more room for creativity or spark an interest in making something for what worlds they want to make, I mean they could make that same world with other blocks, but it wouldn't have the feel that it would if you chose an appropriate themed block for the world.
Blocks are there to spark ideas, both by action of the world and creativity in general, which leads to other interesting worlds. There is obviously a limit where blocks would just be way to much, but there are still use for new blocks coming into the game.

I do agree with this though, especially the world development thing, it would make things less tedious or more interesting to see what people would do with it.

Yes I was a bit too inclusive there. There is still room for innovative action blocks.
But when it comes to themes, it's a slippery slope. Indeed, themed blocks are a lot better for the aesthetic and immersion of a level. But when do you stop adding more? At one point we need to draw the line or else run the risk of becoming Kerbal Space Program, wherein we have to scroll through long menus just to find the block we're looking for.
Yeah, well, you know that's just like, uh, your opinion, man.

coins have the same meaning
so you suggest delete energy and do coins, what do the same thing, because energy is stupid?

Without energy you need gems or some magics to get stuff. Campaigns doesn't reallly give most of all good items

I think it should remain how it is, maybe more blocks for your energy.
Thank you eleizibeth ^
I stack my signatures rather than delete them so I don't lose them

We already have ways of increasing max energy, getting free energy/gems, and now unlimited action blocks, and you want more value for your energy? I mean, come on, they're basically throwing blocks at you.
Yeah, well, you know that's just like, uh, your opinion, man.
