Let me show you the luxuries of being a mod.

What is a moderator; what is a M.O.D? There are two differences. Most of the community fit the M.O.D. position more than the mod position. What is a M.O.D? It is very simple, really. A mod is someone who respects the community, acts mature, punishes thoughtfully, and doesn't abuse his powers. A M.O.D. is you, fellow forumer. A M.O.D. is a Moron On Drugs. You are the person that will be a complete idiot, unaware of making good decisions, such as CHOOSING a good mod. No, forumer, you will choose your best friend to be a mod, because you are stupid.

Now let's find out the luxuries of being an EE forum mod.

scienceguyz, first off we don't need another mod. We don't need an in-game mod either. Did you honestly put any thought of what an in-game mod would do, due to the current state of the game? What is he supposed to moderate? The chat is probably the only thing the in-game mod would moderate, yet it is still unnecessary, since the chat practically moderates itself. Stop trolls? Trolling isn't bad, it isn't against the rules. It's annoying to some, but it isn't illegal.

scienceguyz, put some more thought into making topics. It might help that reputation right there, and people might enjoy your company here. Right now, I wish you would leave and never come back, but I am willing to forgive as long as you put forth the effort. And not to just scienceguyz, to all of you too. Put thought into your posts.

If you're talking about in-game mods, they're admins. There are currently 7 secret admins as far as I know, so unless an admin does something that warrants them being revealed as an admin, any new admins will presumably stay secret.

I honestly don't think we need another mod for awhile now because we have Peter who joined just recently and I know he's inactive but he has a good reason to be inactive. If anyone of you guys don't know why Peter is inactive it is because he is off at college and doing his studies. I'm guessing well have Peter back in 2 months for the minimum amount of time to wait and 5 or 6 months for the maximum wait...maybe even longer. :/

PERSONALLY, I don't think we're going to get any mods any time soon. We have five inactive mods (Alex, Rurigok, Different, EDJ, Jakery[ish])   and the forums are still okay, plus I don't think Cyclone wants more mods.

Although I may be up to the task, considering I'm on the forums during 99% of my freetime, chances are, I'll never become a mod because the people who count are pretty sure that hell will freeze over if I become a mod.
(I'd be modest and say I don't want to be a mod anyway, but I actually sort of want to be a mod. I love the forums and I realize how much work it would be, I know it's not about power, I don't want power, I want to help the forums. Saying that sounds like a load of crap, though. But seriously, I've been on the forums for going on two years. I don't even think my first three relationships lasted that long. They came close, though.)

Although, I am flattered that people think I'd be a mod. I have three people as my witnesses who heard me say that outloud.

ANYWAY, I think the next in-game mod will be some idiot we've never heard of before, whereas the forum mod is undeterminable at this time.
And also, Cyclone is under 18... I think he turns 18 this year, though.

I doubt there will be any new mods (atleast, not regular EE members) considering how uptight Chris is with changing any part of the game.

But if there is, it's probably going to be someone who has maturity and can, well, moderate.
EE doesn't need many mods, EE has gotten popular due to the freedom it provides and the creativity that can be shared.

Once upon a time I looked at Chris's profile, it said he was an Everybody Edits Moderator, and then I lol'd.
He should be labeled as an administrator, and if he isn't... who's running EE?

Well,

people should apply for a moderator position "if one is available". If this moderator then will or cannot fulfill his role with qualities he noted down on his/her application, he/she should be replaced. Fair as it is, those who do good will contribute to the community - those who cannot, should not.

And a statement like "I will be the next mod" is all but serious

We all know the next mod will be one of Chris' friends who we've never heard of before and has never played the game; the Halloween Contest proved he values them far more than us. However, if, by some miracle, a regular forum member were chosen, it would be... well, I've thought of reasons for everybody to not be chosen, so I'll get back to you on that.
