What's so bad at having an item placed into your hotbar?

let's say you pre-place blocks into your hotbar

as you're trying out some new obstacles for your level, you make a mistake and erase a block
now that block is not in your hotbar, so you press 1 and click on the block

now you realize you just lost a block you pre-placed in your hotbar, and so you try to find that block

after four seconds of searching, you find it and place it back

now you realize that block you erased is still erased; you never placed it back

so you have to do it again

Neat idea, but I don't really think it's necessary. I normally would use block picker, or just always have my tab list open.

all of these would not happen if you use it smartly

You can already do this in-game? Just hold the number for where you want it on the hotbar, then click the block you want.

This is completely different, Goshanoob. If I were aware of any existing eyedropper tool, I would never suggest it.

But I anyway think it is bad idea, block picker is working good
