I don't think the daily login reward is very useful if your energy is already full.

just do this:
if you have 400/400 energy
and you need to add 200 energy (daily)
it will be 600/400

I think it's more for people with large amounts of max energy. There would be no point in the max energy limit if you could go over the limit. The same way that there's no point in max energy if you have so much that you spend it before it reaches the limit. That's why there's a daily reward, so having a large amount of max energy isn't so useless.

I think the daily rewards are way too big. Why not like this?
Day 1: Nothing.
Day 2: +25
Day 3: +50
Day 4: +100
Day 5: +1-5 max energy
Day 6: A random (limited) block
Day 7: +1 gem

That's why you get like 700 max energy, then there's almost no problems with energy overflow.
