Portal Particles Missing?

I just noticed that the portal particle effect seems to be missing since the summer update. Something happened to that feature?

It was there for a test only initially. They were causing a major amount of lag, but they may come back later.

Portals AND Coins will have particles...
I don't enjoy the particles so I would like an option to turn them off.

If we add them, we'll certainly add an option to disable them and we'll optimize them as good as possible. So don't worry about the lag

If enabled, we might add an option to change the max. amount of particles.
