Website Changes/Ideas/Suggestions?

Website changes! There are things about the ee.com site that people do not like, and I plan on changing them.

I think the most hated part of the website, is the zig-zag lines. Which is fine, but what should it be replaced with? A solid border? Possibly a slanted line like seen here?

Backgrounds, I'll work out the boring ones. Just give me a list of the ones you think you should be removed. The idea is to have a huge list of backgrounds, but not have a bunch of them that are dull and boring.

I'm adding a footer, I'll put some links in there to some external pages, some useful links, etc. Currently the website appears to come to a sudden stop.

Social icon buttons are going to be changed to be... almost completely different. Not sure why I went that design, thought it was cool I guess. New ones will be solid color, they won't transition on/off the page, and will be a bit smaller.

The font is being changed to Open Sans. Gamesnet fixed some bugs with importing fonts, so we can use almost anything now. Headers will be much bolder now, so the gradient on them will be more noticeable.

Meta data was changed, not a big impact on you guys, but could help with search engines/getting people here.

All the info below the game was changed to look/sound different.

I think that covers everything, but if I missed something let me know.
These changes have not taken place yet. They will be made sometime in the next few weeks... maybe.

I suggest a button to hide completely the background, sometimes it's annoying.

What if I need the world link?

Command: /roomid

Click the share button, copy the link.

and the url will still rewrite to have the room ID in it.

Go to ee.com/index2.html, in the lobby by the world search bar is a button labeled "ID", click on it, paste the world ID, click go or confirm or whatever it says, and viola!

Just tell me what's need to be changed and I will change it in my program. I don't know if Jawapa still uses my tool or if they use xjeex.

I think it's mostly the shadows.

the WIP looks p. good; the bottom links are good and fairly standard for most sites.

Oh, sorry. I was on mobile when I typed that so I basically just threw out an idea. Still, it could have a bit more of a "coming off the page" feel.

Actually it's mostly the action blocks. The numbers on coin doors and switches don't look very good, and the portals don't show the arrow direction (this varies per image, sometimes the numbers on the coin doors look decent, and sometimes the portals actually do show the arrows).

But shadows, too.

My suggestions:

- Remove the border-bottom from the section styles (line 18) and replace it with this:

box-shadow: 0px 0px 15px rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.5);

- Try putting #icons at the top of the screen and aligned horizontally. (I'm not sure if this will look good or not.)

Also, everything is pushed down from the original version. Fix dat.

If you could make the background of the lobby seamlessly extend with the website, even if the browser is resized (might need a lot of javascript), that'd be awesome.

Not sure if that's possible since people have different browser sizes.

Original version being the current? Yep, I put the game as close to the bottom of the page as I could. It looks better, and allows the game to be really low on the screen.

I also changed the way the random background image works. Shouldn't affect anything your guys' side though.

EDIT: @kentiya it looks good going dark to light, but not light to dark.

Instead of alternating like dark grey, light grey below EE, make it get darker the farther you scroll.

The 6th background image...

...is a repeating one that could be improved slightly by making sure the blocks are cut off properly (16x16 per block).
Currently it repeats like this:

Oh crap... gamesnet finally caught up.

I can't fix it now, it will have to wait until tonight.

EDIT: Instead of giving the whole page a gradient, I could give each section a gradient... that might look bad too, but I'll try it later.

Two things:

1. Just a reminder to make the side nubs disappear when I make my browser smaller.

2. An odd request: can you reorder the icons? Red next to the blue looks really weird to me O_o can you make it so red it at the top, maybe?

Also, what is the "settings" button for? Settings for the page layout?

Yes, for background image, background darkness, and a few other things that I'm keep secret for now.
Might take a while to figure how it all will work, so may not be released anytime soon.
