So, are there any ways to discover new guys?

Hey it's me again! I've been back for about two weeks now so I feel back into EE now. Are there any competitions or sponsors that could help new guys get known? I probably wouldn't win, I'm just asking out of curiosity. It would be nice for a talented new person to get discovered rather quickly. Again, this isn't for myself, I am not hat good lol. These are just some thoughts, and most likely not even new, that I could bring to the EE table.

Join a crew, or make a (good) map and post it in the rooms forum.
