Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

I had a very interesting discussion with one of my friends today, we were talking about Everybody Edits world in general..
I feel like there's 2 strong arguments that proves that players make less worlds than before.
Perfectionism: The meaning of this word is simple: the player won't post a world until it's perfect, and in most of the cases, they'll give up and try to make another world. You'll probably say something like: No, it's just because there's 300 players daily on EE. I disagree, 300 players daily is a lot.
Procrastination: The meaning is also very simple, you'll say to yourself that you're going to make something (let's say in the evening), but when the time comes you'll report it to another time and so on.
I wanted to know your opinion about this, why there's wayyyy less worlds than before and what do you think about the 2 arguments stated?
Hey buddy I dont think that word means what you think it means.
That being said, procreation is probably NOT the reason that most people dont make EE worlds, judging from the general vibe I get from the community here

Procrastination + perfectionism have been around all the time. There were just more players back then.
oops big typo
I am procrastination, all the way.
In 2012 I had a level that listed all my level ideas.
It's 2015 and I still haven't done any of them.

What do you think about the players in general?
Procrastination
Accurate. If I didn't have that 1448 Bot would be version 3.2 or something by now and I'd already have my planned bot world running.
Perfectionism
Also accurate. I wanna make sure that nobody gets bugs when they run my bot, but I don't care about it much. The present version has one full page which doesn't function.
So I think there are both, but the latter is a smaller reason. The main reason is laziness or the first thing I mentioned here.
But the worst is when someone has both of them together, take me for example.
When I decide to make a bot, I don't do it for 2 weeks and when I remember it, I realize I have to do some work or something and forget about it.
And when I do work on the bot, I'm too lazy to make it "perfect" but I still want it to be perfect when released.
So I lag again and when I remember about it, I type one line or something and then remember about PewDiePie's latest video and go to watch that, and after that I look at the list on the right and say, "Hey! I haven't seen this vid! Let's see that" and then I forget about my bot.
tl;dr
Both are present, but one is more, i.e., procrastination, and the other is a side-reason. And when both of them come together, it is gonna be really crappy.

You can't really generalise it. Depends on the person. For me, it's always procrastination. I think that procrastination is definitely a more common cause than perfectionism.

welp i'm not procrastination
and im not perfectionism either
i draw some pretty neat stuff so i'm proud of it
i don't know though, i just don't
feel
like making a world sometimes
i just let it sit there and maybe draw up a mini or two and then continue perpetually for a month
and since im still at a young age, some of the older worlds grow stale because i don't feel they are good enough, and so i delete them and start a brand new concept with a better mind
i will probably continue making worlds this way until i reach college
or until ee dies

I think I'm a perfectionist, I try to make the world look as best as possible but then I quit making it at start.
This is a false statement.

This is completely me, I always feel like my next world must be better than the last and I will be very picky about everything... this often results in me discarding a lot of half-done worlds until I somehow get something I like.
and since im still at a young age, some of the older worlds grow stale because i don't feel they are good enough, and so i delete them and start a brand new concept with a better mind
I used to do this too, especially with really bad worlds like "FC Rage Factory" (*cringe*)... fortunately the only thing left of that is a forum thread
But if the world isn't utterly horrible you shouldn't delete it, it's worth keeping to look back at later.

There's around 4500 active daily users; just 300 online at a time
Personally I often find it hard to get started because I can't get the result I want instantly. But once I do get going I keep going until my eyes burn and I realize I haven't had a drink in hours
Procrastination and perfectionism are very closely related.

perfectionism. i have about ~15 1/2 - 3/4 finished worlds that were never released because i ran out of creativity and wanted the whole thing to be executed hyper-inventively D:

I'm not sure what category this falls under, but I usually start a world, get 80% done with it, then just stop, and revive it months, years after. I have about 10 worlds, large or bigger, that are all like that

My procrastination turns into perfectionism.

This. It applies outside of EE too, at least for me. I find that the most common reason I put off tasks is because, when I start the task, I won't be able to stop until whatever I'm working on is perfect. I don't want to put that much energy into something that isn't important, so I don't start the task until it's absolutely urgent that I work on it (e.g. starting a paper 2 hours before it's due).

300 players daily is a lot.
I don't think you quite understand what that number means. That's 300 online users... not 300 active users. There is a lot more than 300.
Nvm, didn't read Nou's post.
I have a problem the perfection and procrastination.
If it's not perfect I won't release it, but it's so hard for me to keep working on it.

Proven fact, often causing smart students to perform poorly in school. Sadly this is often overlooked by teachers.

I always still find it impressive single individuals can create a whole new map. As a perfectionist as well I prefer working together with similar-minded perfectionists so inspiration doesn't run dry the entire level stays fresh.
