Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

So the mods have text... Lets hope they dont abuse it
MODEDIT: This topic is now a general place to discuss the things that mods have that normal users don't have. For example, text blocks and superman smiley. Please read the rest of the topic for more info on these matters. Thank you.

Maverick: Started up on a 6, when he pulled from the clouds, and then I moved in above him.
Charlie: Well, if you were directly above him, how could you see him?
Maverick: Because I was inverted.

How can you abuse text? Nothing can be done with text that can't be done with signs.
Then why don't players get it?
Offline
I think because the way text is done is super inefficient and having a lot of text in a world can really lag but probably mainly because why not. Same reason that mods get the superman smiley.
EDIT: I accidentally a word.

Theoretically they could use it for ingame art. Though I'm not sure how abusive that would be. Maybe in a contest?

Yeah, it causes a lot of lag.
Personally, I mainly use text to leave messages for world owners who are gone. If I have to erase something, then I'll leave a message about it.

I've already abused it, as you saw earlier.

Yes... I know CJ is a dev but... He shouldn't get superman. Superman is a Mod and Admin smiley, not a dev smiley. Xjeex is also a dev but doesn't have Superman.
Some players don't know CJ is a dev and they will mistake them for a hacker and not believe what he says! This is unfair to other EE users

This topic is similar to this: http://forums.everybodyedits.com/viewtopic.php?id=28434
I'm talking about the admins/moderators privileges. I think it's unfair they have features normal users won't even have, think how much worlds could be created with admins/moderators only items.
Text
This is often used to mark a admin/moderator was somewhere. Wouldn't you want it? It's a cool text that could be used to decorate the world and also give information. It would be very good to a lot of worlds, but what is this for? Just for moderators. What about allowing text for everybody and use another item to mark "a moderator was there"?
Superman smiley
Yes, Benjaminsen always wanted a smiley just for himself. Why don't allow it for everyone? Everybody wants to collectionate smilies, let they have superman if they can. Making a smiley only for moderators is the same as not allowing the community do something while moderators can.
EDIT: Nevermind, keep it for yourself.
Custom colored name
I think the staffs can keep this for themselves, but I think they shouldn't even have this feature. Instead, credit who is helping the community somewhere.
Remember: The staffs are supposed to work on the game, not have privileges over other players, this is called VIP.
This is a false statement.

If all these are taken away from the staff then newbies won't even be able to tell them apart from normal users.

Merging this with the other "mods have stuff" threads.

It had 1 reply. And it's right under the first post you made. I took into account how "shuffled" the topic would get upon being merged and it wouldn't be too bad so I merged them. They're largely still in the right order and not shuffled around.

I know, but it was supposed to be a discussion.

And it still can be, or it could have, but now we're discussing whether or not we can discuss what the topic is discussing. Should I split this off or can we get back on-topic now?

Okay, but can you make the OP a little bit better? It looks like a joke for me, not a serious discussion.
