Contest time !! Beta + Chat as reward

Hello there,

First of all, I am offering Beta+Chat for the winner of the followign contest.
People with Beta are excluded from this contest, unless their contribution really amazes me, which results in gems equal the beta access.

The contest is quite ..easy, all you have to do is to create a video about you drawing an art map. Of course it should be a special art map.
Following rules apply here:
-Video must be time lapsed, around 10-20 minutes max to watch but has to cover all the work
-Video must be about your art map, not minigames
-Art map must be 400x200
-Art must fill a major part of the map
-Video must show the working progress from on the very beginning of the map, this excludes pre-made maps
About judging the maps:
I judge them on my own without any assistance. The map which impresses me the most will be the winner of course.
What kind of art you draw is up to you, neither will I answer any questions like "what shall I draw" nor will I ever respond on any questions if any map is "sufficiant". Be original.
All you have to do is to capture a video, reduce it to around 10 minutes in lenght (but I have to see the complete progress of the drawing) and post a link on this thread.
I will judge the art shown in the video!! Not the video itself. The video just serves as a proof of you drawing.

Following extra rules apply for the contest
-BEE is excluded from the contest
-No videos about Pixelart, Sprite-Art, Smiley-Art, copied-Art
-Crew contrbutions do not count. Must be a single person drawing the map.
Deadline for submissions: 1st of July 2012

Forgive me for the strange question:

If I do manage to amaze you, may I be able to transfer my beta into gems, as well as giving chat to someone I have in mind, or am I entirely excluded since I have both chat / beta?

Also, may you send me a link to a good cam for this?

This contest sounds nice!

Great opportunity for non-beta/chat to start real EE!

BUT: What if parents dont agree their son to have chat? You might get in court with accusations, bud...

^Um, yeah, I doubt anyone would sue Helvi...

Anyway, not that this hasn't been done before, but it's a great idea. I may even enter, assuming that I have enough time to work on my new plan and can get my hands on a good cam for this. Any suggestions cam-wise?

So we could speed up the vid,cause it would be close to impossible to cover a 400x200 with decent art in 10-20 minutes.

I hope you mean 10-20 days max or else it'd be impossible to me. You don't want to see my art.

I knew I should of been getting great saved worlds before getting all of the smileys and blocks...

What Helvi means is that the video would be sped up you so when you watch it its faster than it actually took.
Is there any recomended way to take a video, Helvi? I'm thinking of using my webcam but point it towards my screen (computer ception) but the quality would be bad and getting it onto youtube would be a hastle.

Search for screen recorders. I would use Camtasia. I remember that, that program gave really good qualitys.

But I think it's a lot many screen recorders out there.

This is like... racist to minigamists... I've seen so many contests about "art" and no where near enough about minigame skills... This is just like making me sit in the corner and watch the others have fun >.<

If you win, you get the beta access (or gems equal the beta access), but you cannot give the beta access to someone else or ask for this. It could be abused to increase the submissions which of course would be unfair toward those who submit one map and not one+another of any friend.

You can of course take part in this contest, possibley winning gems equal the beta access

It is their parents or the users problem, not mine. If someone feels like not being allowed to have chat, she/he should not participate.

Try vimeo or so too if you don't want to create a youtube account. There are plenty of video portals.

O yea thank you helvi also you guys are gonna have wait for my map. Not many people know this but I'm nonbeta. So I can participate. So I think this map I'm gonna make is gonna be awesome.
