Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

How exactly would there be a "pro" in everybody edits? You don't level up, and the controls are extremely simple. I'd say everyone's a pro when they join this game. Quite sad that awkward teenagers have brought "memes" and "pros and noobs" into games. Everyone is the same.

Pro means your very good at something like you beat impossible mini with only 1 fail or you beat a basketball game with the most epic shot.. Or you beat Rock Paper Scissors 3 times or more in a row.

I think thats the problem. You can talk down to someone and not be technically rude, but anyone with an ounce of intelligence will find this irritating. I speak from experience. Its infuriating.
Yes true, but those type of people are in all groups, "pro", "mid", and "noob". I've been talked down to by a "noob" before, as well as a "mid" and a "pro".
What you should be saying is "People should be nice to other people" not "pros should be nice to noobs".
Besides, you're all 'nub's in my mind <3
Fair enough. I agree with you there

Which part? The fact that you're all nubs? ;D
But seriously, this is the issue that people have in real life. Every group has a set of "less than desirable." Disrespectful doctors, teachers that don't explain things, dentists that are rude, cops that make questionable choices, etc. Its sad that a few "bads" ruin it for the rest of us (and the worst part is when someone is usually good, but is caught in the "bad mood" that we all have)

Well yeah I agree we are all nubs , but I was saying that I agree that people should just be nice to each other. I get that its not human nature and that its probably not going to happen, but I dont see any problem with striving for an ideal.
And I think most people here are smart enough to distinguish the two extremes within the 'pros', I forsure wasn't saying that all pros are inherently rude, but just what you said, there are a few bad eggs that set a certain standard.

I disagree. The game is based off its community, so naturally, it has evolved to learn what is "pro" and what is "noob." "Pros" are (usually old) players who can make good levels. It can also be based off other factors, especially as to how much experience they have.
You don't level up, and the controls are extremely simple.
The controls may be simple, but that does not make the game itself easy. Have you seen The Impossible Game? The only thing you do is jump, but it is hard. Plenty of levels in Everybody Edits take advantage of this and make difficult minigames.
I'd say everyone's a pro when they join this game.
A new player could probably not beat EX Crew's "Are You a God?", while somebody with years of experience might. There is certainly a skill difference.
Quite sad that awkward teenagers have brought "memes" [...] into games.
This is the Internet. What do you expect? What is the problem?
Quite sad that awkward teenagers have brought [...] "pros and noobs" into games.
"Pros" and "noobs" are always part of life, whether or not they are in games. The main issue is whether or not they are separated and do not interact much.
Everyone is the same.
Somewhat true—we are all in the same community. Some of us are certainly different, whether pro, noob, "mid", or troll. One thing we all have in common is that we play its game or are involved in its community.

Never tried to be kind anymore since then.N1KF wrote:I think that is a pretty bad way of stereotyping an entire side of the community. Refusing to attempt to at least be nice simply because one acted like a donkeyhole is regarding the entire group of "noobs" as being like that one person.
Yeah, hate to say it, but thats a pretty poor attitude. You can't let one bad experience turn you off from being a decent person....
Sondheim said it best guys..."Be careful what you say, children will listen." If you set the bar of acting high and mighty, the 'middle class' will follow suit.
*This just goes to show you that anything can turn into an into the woods reference if you try hard enough*
Let me clarify then, not one noob.
I raised several ****.
And they're ravaging the Kong Forum.
That's enough of a reason to not be kind anymore. Stereotype as it is, the effect has been huge and long lasting and no one in Kong can deny that. I rather stop being the kind guy rather than give more births to more **** (although part of it was due to lack of moderation).

I dont think that you should let the faults in other people change you, but thats just me.

So, what is the importance of classifying people into these categories anyways?
I mean, I don't think I even fit into the "noob" or "pro" categories. I am the noobiest noob when it comes to minigames, but am by no means a new player. =P Seriously, what would I even be?
So I guess what I'm asking, is why call it newbie discrimination? Why not just say EE's players need to be more respectful to differing level and ability as a whole?

So should we start calling out people on being shrubnuts?

I've never understood this communities obsession with titles, either. But there has always been a clear distinction. I dont know who originated it, or on what side of the line they fell on, but it surely is there.

I think we should stop making pro levels to make newcomers feel less intimidated.

Everybody Edits is an absolutist game, divided into three classes:
1st: Experienced Players: Always experienced players, only them can join crews, make ugly worlds and still be considered pro.
2nd: Active Players: Has also a good knowledge about the game, but it's too lazy to make something useful but chat with friends.
3rd: Newbies: Rejected from the community, all they're supposed to do is stairs world, if someone see a newbie making a original world, the newbie will be punished.
This is a false statement.
