Squad started making his redesign before you did. And he said I could use whatever he made, or make changes to it.

And I will restate this again... The design I made looks more like his, than it does yours. The only similarity between yours and mine, is the main part with the game. Then again, so does Squad's... you didn't go to him about copying your stuff. That's all you are using to compare the two, is the portion with the game. And literally all that is, is a box with a background.

But I think the community here doesn't really get what my problem is anyways. I talked to a way more people than zoey, buzzerbee and the other three or two which are just not as active on this forum and all understood my point and agreed. Maybe it's because zoey and others benefit from being in a good relationship with the staff, and this is a really vague statement which I think is wrong, but I mean. Really?

It's obvious ideas and concepts have been taken from my site. Yes I love EE - and yes, it's cool they used it. But asking beforehand or giving a proper credit should not have been that hard.

We are back to where I have to think, or should think, "some older players who are better known than me rage - I have to be definitely wrong and should just say sorry and hope I never made this".

But why? All I can see is his website, worse than mine in a lot of points - in my opinion. Sure you can like the fancy zic-zac border and that pattern zoey made with the social buttons which mess everything up. I don't. It's okay to like it.

I want him removed from the staff because he seems to be just not responsible enough. Giving away free buildersclub (proven by chatlogs someone sent me via pm yesterday) is clearly not what a moderator should do. Publishing the same mistake over and over and a half broken site should not have been done too. Sure he can apologize. But now what? If he does it again he apologizes again and everything is fine.

What about as I said, ex crews shift taken and in a worse form and as the official shift published? I mean you can't really compare it but in some way you can.

I'ts like fighting for the respect.

Just taking things made with passion from someone should be wrong. Morality. But whatever. ^^ Seems to be not such a big deal here.

Okay Mylo, so you want the website to be reverted and Jawapa removed.

You need to separate those two things. While the website may contribute towards your dislike of Jawapa, the fact that you included both in this thread only confuses matters.

First things first, a lesson in life. The information below is meant to be general for life, not specifically this particular situation, but it is something that is important to learn.

When you have information that would work towards a person in a position of power removed, you do not go to the masses. That would be like a student standing up in the middle of class and shouting THIS TEACHER IS A TERRIBLE TEACHER. Even if the other students do agree, is anything going to be done? No.

The masses not only have no power, but they do not understand the intricacies of the situation at hand. So for this particular situation, what we, as the masses, get from this, is that you wish to defame or slander Jawapa. While this was probably not your intent, this is what it came off as, and when people do that, the masses immediate response is to defend them no matter what they believe.

If you believe you have a valid reason to remove someone from a position of power, you go to their superior, and if that person is the highest superior, you go to the person as their equal/peer/colleague. Very rarely do you have neither, but in that case you go to the person just under them.

Second, if you come off as attacking straight from the bat, the immediate response is to defend. Questions asked innocently are almost always better received. For example, a conversation with the ombudsman at a college about a teacher's grade. Or in this particular situation, a PM to another mod saying "Uh, should Jawapa be giving free BC? Because he is and I don't think that's very professional." has a significantly deeper impact than an angry thread. Yes I understand you are angry, but how you present a problem to someone of higher authority is important. If I went to my Boss and told him he was a terrible boss, nothing good is going to happen from there on out.

And finally, stay calm and cool when presenting an argument. The more angry you get, the more defensive others get.

Only AFTER you have gone to a superior and nothing is done do you go to the masses. WITH evidence of the nothing being done. Now, this is always tricky, because you are not privy to others reprimands, so it must be blatant.

tl;dr The art of "someone is doing something they aren't supposed to be doing" when YOU have no power is an intricate, risky game.

As for this particular situation, I have only just returned to EE, so I don't know enough about the players to form an opinion. But I do think you should have presented the problem differently.

Yep, I gave two people free builder club. The first person had it for like 4 days. It was given to them because they had a world they wanted to make, and I thought the concept was great. Rather than wait a while for them to purchase portals, I gave them BC. The second person got it as a birthday gift... which yeah.. seems unfair now... but it was harmless.

Since this post is about the infringement of another's work, it could be argued in the court.

If you feel that JaWapa, or his work as a staff member, sue him, or the Everybody Edits company. I'm serious; if you feel that he took your intellectual property, then it means that he stole something from you. You do have the licenses and copyright for your design, and the licenses for the included blocks, right?

He absolutely does not have any of that. If this was taken to court, he would fail miserably before a judge. Before you bash on another player and eventually make him want to leave remember that you have absolutely no rights to the game and merely just a player. What you say as far as suggestions are just that suggestions that can ultimately be used in any way the EE staff feels is proper. That means Mylo that the EE staff does not have to credit anyone if you are not in the staff. Of course they would do it willingly but they seriously do not have to. Your argument is invalid because without proof that he physically sat there and copy and pasted your idea than you have no argument what so ever. Although they look the same you cannot right off the bat say that he copied you. I remember a forum topic by him that clearly stated "SUGGESTIONS" on what to do win the EE site. I personally commented on it giving him appropriate suggestions. Mylo, please in all seriousness do not propose a huge argument that is not provable. A matter of fact, this forum topic does not matter if you haven't gone to the EE staff FIRST. C'mon man you literally have nothing to argue except the questionable actions of JaWapa that is about it.

Leave him alone, he respectfully created a topic about an issue that bothered him and you have no right to blame him for Jawapa's decision. As mentioned before, this event may have been the last straw that made Jawapa realize something he was doing wasn't right.
