Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

/ban command

Many times I have kicked someone just to find that they come back the next day. I think a /ban (username) (time) (reason) command would be nice.

Re: /ban command

Well, yes. There are a lot of multiplayer games out there, and a lot of these games share common features. These include a way to ban people from a room or a server or whatever. And since EE is a multiplayer game too, you should expect people to ask for these common features quite often.

Re: /ban command

I believe the /kick command is enough as it is 5 minutes long. People usually give up after 5 minutes.

But still, if you want a player entierly banned from EE, /reportabuse for whatever they did wrong.

5 minutes solves some things but not everything. What if someone comes to your world and bullies you or harasses you every day? Or other people? Then you'll want to ban them for longer than 5 minutes. Possibly permanently.

*cough* Ipwner *cough*
He would come into my world, i would kick after he said random stuff.
He would then come back as POG or somebody else and do same thing.

Good idea if you kick someone he can't go in your level for only 5 minutes...

Re: /ban command

I have noticed that kicking someone generally makes them want to cause you more harm. Kicking repeatedly, will encourage a troll to get onto alt accounts, and continue doing whatever it is that they were doing. The best way to deal with someone you don't want, is to either /mute if they are causing trouble in the chat, or remove their edit if they are trolling/building things you don't want.

Trolls feed off of attention. If you let them know they are bothering you, they will keep doing it. Just give them no attention whatsoever, and they will become bored and stop.

If someone is spamming the chat, like drstereos mentioned in the post above, then muting will work better than anything because they have no way of knowing you muted them.

As for the ban command, I don't know if it should be a thing. If you ban a user, they can simply come back on a new account just like they would do if you kicked them. It seems a bit useless to me. Also, I believe ipbanning is currently impossible, so that also wouldn't be able happen anytime soon.
