The world doesn't have to be medium. You may have misinterpreted this:

-Each team is required to submit a world, no other medium will be accepted

All this means is that you can only submit a world. You cannot submit a picture or anything.

That means "Every team have to send their levels. Nothing other like image or website. Medium size level will be accepted."

Your team is still in. Other teams will face disqualification if not cleared soon. If your team is colored red, you need to make sure to restart your level.

It is perfectly fine to have a border, just no content inside please.

Alright, So I accidentally started building with a friend for 15 minutes (we were planning outside the box, as we thought it would be OK), then I found out that we are not allowed to build anything on the map, then erasing it all. Are we disqualified?

I will sign up if I know for sure that I'm not disqualified.

As long as the level is empty inside the area that will be judged you will be fine.

By the way, after we can start building, can I put a spawn somewhere out of the area and put the invisible portal inside? I just don't think a spawn will really fit it.

As a word of advice people don't seem to be paying attention to. It does say in the original post:

-Building time will occur between March 1-10 only
**FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH THE RULES ABOVE WILL DISQUALIFY YOUR TEAM!

And since I've noticed Toop in a fair few contest maps I am assuming he is checking that nothing is already built in these worlds.
If you are "practicing" as some claim to be, would it not be more wise to construct your "practices" in other levels, not the one you are submitting?
