What happened to beta.

It doesn't seem like anything is actually put INTO beta anymore. Portals, minerals, music packs, etc... were all in beta. Why isn't this being continued? Is it because of the weekly updating? Both the plate iron pack and the gasmask smiley would crash some people when getting into levels so I would prefer if they had been put into beta first. Everyone on Kongregate could basically NOT play a level for a week because of all the plate iron. Not sure how this affected others. Anyway, in summary: How come nothing is put into beta anymore.

Zoom agrees, all releases now go to everyone at the same time. What is the point of beta now except for some extra blocks, smilies, and worlds? I remember a time when Beta members always got the new updates first. Now being beta is not so special anymore...

Yeah... I'm glad he isn't inactive like the other mods but seriously, some of these updates SUCK. >.> I also now have to much to see half the screen when I open my items list.

Actually they all sucked xcept for timedoors and coin gates :3 the others are just way too specified ;p plus I think MrShoe is a bit *cough* SELFISH >:o He released a birthday cake for his birthday.. why not mine??! ;-; next thing you know there will be 20 updates based off of mrshoes birthday ? nub-CAKE update, and blah

He isn't selfish...? Also, timed doors and coin gates had been suggested a LONG time ago.

beta only actually good for getting stuff to test before others.

I think I might want my money back... Non-betas can get saved worlds now. Non-betas get things at the same time as us now. The only thing different is 6 rubbish smileys, and a little extra word on your profile. Oh wait we don't have that anymore.

Yes. There's nothing special for beta member now exept some smileys and blocks...

How is he being selfish when he gives us a gift on his birthday? I do agree beta test should be back though...

Gogosboy, you must have taken quite a vacation from EE... Those observations are quite outdated.

I didn't even realize that beta lost a benefit! We should at least get a day earlier than non-betas.

Stop being so upstuck about paying $10 for beta, it is an OPTIONAL extra, to help support this growing game.
And who cares beta isn't getting many things, I don't, as I am glad non-betas can get it too, to help create more interesting maps and such.
Also a note: What is the point in beta testing emotes and bricks? Thats all that we basically have been getting recently.
On another note, I do agree, that game changing stuff, like the Low gravity world and Timed doors/gates, should have been beta tested before released to non-beta, for various reasons.

I don't think that people are being up-stuck. The point is WE payed the $10 extra dollars to get the extra features, and to test them before everyone else.

The name 'Beta' is slowly diminishing because non-betas are getting all the things that betas have. You don't contribute the owner of the game you just play it, why should you get all the free stuff when others pay for it?

I don't have any qualms against free players, because it is when free players spread the word that they attract potential beta members. I just think that since beta members donate to keep the game running they should get more than a few extra blocks and smilies and worlds.

People who pay should get more 'beta' features, because we have contributed to the game in a way that most people cannot. I don't think it would be unfair at all for betas to have more rights. We donate our hard earned/ our parents hard earned money into a game to help keep in running. If it weren't for payed members then how could there ever be free members? Chris needs the money to keep the game running, maybe you think it sounds petty but it's not. Running a domain and a small indie game can be very expensive, and I don't see why people shouldn't help.

II totally agree with this. I bought beta recently and realized that it wasnt much differentthan non beta except for the smileys ans   vlocks. mr shoe if you are reading this make some changes to beta. sorry for all the grammar and spelling mistakes and spelling mistakes :/

I, Zoom, have noticed this too. Why even have a beta page anymore?

Plus I have also noticed, with all the cool new smilies I don't even use the beta ones anymore, nor do I use the beta blocks. I don't see the point of it all. Mine as well be a free to play.

Right, so many obnoxious people here.

First things first: BETA IS OPTIONAL. You did not have to pay to continue playing EE.
Second thing: Paying for beta helps support the game, and help it grow.
Thirdly: There is no real point in beta testing blocks and smileys, as they'd have no real function
Fourthly: There will be no refunds on this, so, please shut up, about saying you want your money back, It isn't gonna happen.
Fifthly: you can get beta with only $8 dollars now, so there has been a reduction.
Sixthly: Beta page is generally ad-free, and I find it less laggier.
Seventhly: Mr Shoe hasn't forgotten about the beta, he just feels like none of the new stuff needed testing, and I agree with him aswell.
