Beta: What did we paid for?

Wow, I'm so mad! like the past 3 months that im thinking about it, but this week, after I saw that nothing is going to change soon... I just **** out of my mind!
Like a year and a half ago since now, I joined Everybody Edits. Well, then... the people who played this time, know how it was like. Kind of a new browser multiplayer game, so simple, so naive... but so perfect. Beta's player in this time were considered as the BEST thing ever (except a moderator of course). For who really liked the game and played for hours every day, like me, just thinking about the option to become a bigger part of Everybody Edits was enormous achievement.

So, not like kids that did it by there own in the "easy way", after a lot of talks with my parents, I got the 10$ for buying the BETA user. WOW! That was like one of the most exciting moments in the internet I had, I'm kiddin but yes, I really was happy. At this time, to be BETA is knowing that you really are A BETA.
Out of Wikipedia:

"In computing the term "beta" is used as (usually) the last pre-release in the software release life cycle. It is sometimes referred to as 0.x in version numbers or x.x bx where x represents a number."

GOD! BETA! To be a user that have the things before everyone else! that's what so special in being A BETA user! we had more than 6 smileys of 16x16pixels and 3 saved worlds that only other betas can see. We had so many things, always tested the new things before they became to the official version, the free version.

And now? what do we get now?
Julian (MrShoe) in the only stayed active mod that doing something and trying to make Everybody Edits staying alive, and probably only because he gets payment.
I'm not even trying to talk about killing the game by release a new pack every single week (which making each pack worse than the other), and not trying to convince anyone to give us lots of things to stay in beta mode for couple of months, but to know that I payed my money for 6 smileys of 16x16 and 3 stupid worlds that anyway only some other people can watch?!

By trying to make Everybody edits better, it's seems more like to make it a money machine and to kill it, plus to do a confirmation of death.
Im writing it with pain inside me, that's wakes up everytime im trying to connect Everybody Edits and instead of seeing 5,000 users connect to the game, the maximum is around the 1800, and that's also in a good days.

When I was a free user, I just mad that it took so long until a new pack came into the offical free version of the game, and yes, I can understand Non-Betas users, but again, the meaning of beta is to check the things one last time before the offical release. So, even if Julian is keep going to release a new pack every week (which seems a stupid thing for me and many others),
why can't he release the pack 1 week earlier for the beta's users and make them a bit more special, to feel a beta user and not something that I payed for getting nothing.

Unless, I am really starting to think how can I get my money back...

P.S.
What's going on with the magic coins?! Yes, there was a problem with it, but why no one is trying to find a solution?!

2.your point is right, but in the days i got beta, beta was really special.
3.beta rooms were in a special list, guys joined there oftener then in the normal ones, because beta rooms werent      bombed.

Memylo Beta only rooms were ruined when Chris let all those nubs get beta last Christmas. Even though nothing good was made there, at least you had good conversation, no it's just ruled by nubs like kitty12.

Also, we hope to be ready to test part of a major update with the beta-users next week. But more on that next week

This is from the blog, so beta isn't completely dead at least. I wonder what it is? Maybe the long awaited replacement for magic.

Magic replacement? No, two different systems at the same time must create a huge chaos in the server. At least that's what I think. Magic replacement should be implemented only at the same time for beta and non-beta users.

You know what you paid for. It's right there. 6 smileys, beta blocks, and 3 free worlds, one of which is beta only, and also the testing of new features. Blocks aren't a new feature. Smileys aren't new. They've been there since the creation of the game.
HOWEVER, I think that the boost arrows should have been in beta first. The other things, like the chains and ladders and water and low gravity worlds sort of couldn't be released separately without the rest of the theme because it just wouldn't fit, so it sort of makes sense that they weren't released into beta.

You know what should happen? Whenever there's x new physics feature that is separate from a themed pack (such as the boost arrows, the smiley doesn't count), it should be released for beta on Monday, and to the public on Wednesday. Also, perhaps we should get them for free for full testing purposes and then have them taken away and in the energy shop for a reduced price or something on Wednesday.

I agree a lot to this. No one even uses the blocks or smileys anymore. I think the beta stuff should be 3 weeks before we get it so they have at least enough ttime to get and make a small world. I kind of feel that chatters have it better then betas these days.

I don't understand... you didn't pay for anything! You donated money to Chris for being awesome, and he rewarded you with some stuff as a thank you present. He gave all beta players six unique blocks, six unique smilies, one exclusive world, and two additional, free worlds. Seeing as how he didn't need to give you anything, and he originally didn't give anybody anything, I think you're being awfully greedy by assuming you deserve anything more.

It would be nice if MrShoe would follow the tradition set by Chris that beta players receive access to new items before regular players, but demanding he do so is unfair.

Well, haven't you read the Wikipedia page?
Beta means the last pre-release in the software release life cycle. Or in a short way it means you'll get the exclusive stuffs before anyone else.
It doesn't say it'll donate. It says you'll pay $10 exchange for beta.
And we already have the diamond block and Tophat smiley if you want to donate money to Chris.

One more thing...
MrShoe is the one who is testing the "exclusive stuffs" for us..
That's why beta haven't got any updates..

I don't hate MrShoe, but he is the one that ruined beta xD

At the moment. Does it only change the Aura color and minimap color. In the future. I don't know.

The aura is also the godmode aura. And with the minimap color do I mean the smiley color.

It's not a fake. I've seen that update too, doh showed it, and I can tell you that it's legit. (You can't buy those items yet, though.)

It will probably be a beta-only update; and it does something with the smiley you're using.

Yeah, because Toby is totally the only person to ever say that stuff out loud and his bbflz for life Jack has never ever thought of doing it and especially not for 40 videos.
Also, I saw the update as well and it's totally legit, and yes, the modify button is annoying.
Don't be so quick to dismiss things, especially from Doh.
