Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

No, I coded it in VB. Thanks to Processor for teaching it to me!

And you may decompile it for private purposes, but shouldn't redistribute it in any way.

It's not a bot what I can see. Just a Simple GUI with code to generate strong and good passwords.

Why say it's C#? It can be any programming language that can create a GUI.
But if he use .NET it's easy to decompile. If he haven't used a good obfuscator that make the decompiler useless.

I didn't use an obfuscator because the source code of this project isn't a huge secret; but I didn't publish the source code directly to avoid every people to access it.
That way, only people who are experienced at those stuff can grab the source.

You don't need any experience to get the code.

Can't we just mash the keyboard?

Re: Random Key Generator

Well, with this, you might as well just smash your face on your keyboard and generate a code. That would be the exact same process.

Oh, and by the way, have fun writing down a 10 (random) digit code. And when someone lulzhacks it then I guess you'll gladly write another 10 digit code down.

It's a nice beginning program, keygens are actually simplistic, there's been hundreds of these made.
Good job, though, not most needed. XD

Cool story bro. Wish I knew this stuff //forums.everybodyedits.com/img/smilies/smile
But why did you make it? Anyone can randomly type in letters and numbers by themselves XD

Re: Random Key Generator

Why are people interested in the source?   What is it going to tell you exactly?   If the key generated is actually random, then I greatly doubt there's anything to gain from the source.

I don't know about that exactly.   I think this thing does have some limited use to it.

Yeah, those are easier techniques, but the human brain can't randomize things securely.

Re: Random Key Generator

It is good, for the programmer. A simple key generator is a good training for learning the basics of a programming language.

Plus I don't think he really is doing it for the code that you get by pressing the "Generate" button. I think it's more of promoting the use of a complicated code instead of using such code as 1824 the worse case... For the noobs, of course. //forums.everybodyedits.com/img/smilies/tongue

Another thing is - look at the interface. It provides you the option to customize the key. Throwing your head on your keyboard might result in more than expected code or too much complicated to memorize. Using this kind of key generators you can customize which kind of characters to use and how long the code is.

As for the topic. That's a nice program, not too much to expect from it but it serves its purpose and that's good!

Why can't you?
What operating system are you using?

Do you get any error messages? If yes, what?

Another thing is hitting your hea on a keyboard hurts this 'Bot' doesn't :lol
And when you have the source code what exactly do you do then
Nice work //forums.everybodyedits.com/img/smilies/wink

Re: Random Key Generator

Wow! Nice GUI Design! //forums.everybodyedits.com/img/smilies/big_smile
The code may be useful for you in later projects creating licence keys and some other stuff... //forums.everybodyedits.com/img/smilies/tongue
A pretty nice (useless) program.

I have never thought of programming for reputation and honor. What I have in my heart must come out. That is the reason why I code.
