Thumbs-down Levels

We have a topic for some of the better levels of EE (some I find tedious rather..), so here is a topic for those levels we just wish we could de-woot.   We can learn from some of these maps of what not to do wen creating our own levels.

Try it and I bet you won't finish it.

It was incredibly tedious throughout the whole world, such as generic stairs that you have to complete 9 times in a row thanks to the power of coins doors.   If you were able to endure all that, you then have to do zigzags 9 times, which I find even worse than the stairs.   Then when you reach the minis, there is a part where a ladder leads up to a block beside it, making it impossible to climb up onto it.   I would sometimes watch people play the level in the mini map.   They would all quit after doing one or two stairs out of nine.   I don't blame them.   This level isn't hard, just tedious, and it feels like the designer just ran out of ideas and decided repeating things was the way to fill up the world.   There are many keys and gates placed around to slow down the level.   That just makes it even more of a drag.   Oh well.

my god. that is the most painful thing ever. i can't even comprehend how repetitive is. anyway, i dunno if this thread is a good idea. if someone sees their level on this, they might get butthurt and whoever critisized the level will prolly get in trouble. i do like the idea of this thread, though. :/

Well, with criticism, you gotta take the good with the bad.   I won't sugarcoat all my comments.   if something is good, I'll comment how fun it is, if something is repetitive and boring, then I'll say how unfun it is.

That's clever, what with the name Teller and the Maestro smiley that looks like him...but you already knew that.

I think that's one of the worst level's I've ever seen.   I can't think of worse off the top of my head, but Pikachitu's was up there.

I've came across several bad levels, but none of them are interesting enough to even bother posting like the first one I had posted.   Interesting in a very, very bad, and painful way.

It's not even a list, you see.

It's for people to try out these levels and laugh at how horrible they are, and for some of us to learn from some of these horrible level designs.

I actually made it to the end, where I believe there was a block in the path, making it impossible to even win.

Oh that one.   I didn't like the design.   When keys are going off every 5 seconds, it's impossible to scale those stair rooms with no solid blocks to stop at.   You have to wait until there aren't many people in the room.   How many people in the room shouldn't determine if the level becomes possible or impossible.. bleh.
