Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

I'm pretty sure that wouldn't happen... We have like 20 days to make these, he wouldn't purposely make troubles, that would risk some profits for himself.
In the assumtion that you were joking, be a bit more careful, a simple comment like that could start a riot these days.
EDIT: Oh great... http://eeforumify.com/viewtopic.php?id=28013&p=2 TopicStarter's post.

Why do we have to "prove" anything? Isn't Yoscroll being near the top all the time proof enough? Why bother fixing something that doesn't need to be fixed? Updating the portals was wasted time. If we're MrShoe's customers, why is he challenging us for something we want to buy? We bought portals, keep them how they were, dammit.
Cute turned evil... no one is doing that. I'll add a kitteh for the cute part. Maybe he'll be zombified.

I think you have wrong information My "Delusion Valley" has kind of cute turned evil. Pink valley represent's something cute which starts to get infected with "evil" green which is also sort of zombie land. I think it is good enough to say that it's "Cute turned evil"

Yo!Scroll is based on invisible portals, having them replaced with normal portals, makes the map look really ugly. That's not what we want, we want Yo!Scroll to be very enjoyable.
this....ummm NO! so your saying you guys care more about how awesome the map looks rather than how fun it is? who cares if the portals show or not! the levels will be fun regardless. but yea thats probably why 90% of levels on here are based on fancy graphics and pictures rather than the actual gameplay.....just like real video games today -_-

Not that I build anymore or even play much, but as a former builder, looks can be integral to how fun a level is. A big chunk of a level being fun is the "atmosphere" created by how it looks in combination with how it plays. A level doesn't necessarily have to be beautiful to have a good atmosphere, but invisible portals can be key to making a level with gameplay that feels "seamless", and is more fun as a result. You can look at my level MIHB's Dream as an example.

Looks like invisible blocks were replaced with vines. If somebody figures out how to put them in again I'll fix it, but otherwise not going to worry about it.
You guys have only had Yo! Scroll and MIHB's dream for a while now, you better hurry up and get some more. I'll be glad to help make one if you give me the rules for it though. But you better hurry, today is my last day of BC.

Just tried it; works for making invisible portals, but I couldn't make invisible blocks.

Download the newest EETroller Light and you can place invisible blocks, if you have Summer Pack 2011.

looks have nothing to do with how fun a level can be. a level can be a plain old "black and white" level and still be fun as hell.

Oh no you shared what is 1 of my not finished worlds!

Hurry up, we're not in a very nice situation at the moment, only 3 maps are done.
Anyway, thanks for all the submissions! It's nice to see how many people are really interested in the future of EE. When we get to 6 maps done, I'll publish some stuff from my messaging with MrShoe.

Well, for one, I never said a level can't be fun without aesthestics, simply that they often help and improve the fun factor.
For another, "black and white" is an aesthetic all on its own. If you want to see what a level without any aesthetics would look like, see my level "Made by Jerks". Of course, the fun from that level is in overcoming the vile counter-aesthetics.

Thanks doh, I was able to fix it.
why on earth would i want invisible portals? like u dont feel special enough with ur pumpkin smiley processor??? p.s. yes processor im the guy with diamond smiley who u kicked...

We didn't start this for feeling ourselves special, but for an awesome "feature" of the game.
BTW, the kick was probably an automatic one, and it was because there's no Diamond in the world of Yo!Scroll. (So no one can feel special there )

Everyone would be able to use Invisible portals, so it won't make me feel special. And no, pumpkin smiley doesn't make me feel special at all.
And the bot kicks people who hack carelessly, remember that.
Ontopic:
Look at time, people. Its already 8th and we only have 3 levels done. Make sure you get to finish your level before the deadline is past. If you finish a week before that, people will be able to test and give suggestions for your level. The faster you finish, the better.
I have never thought of programming for reputation and honor. What I have in my heart must come out. That is the reason why I code.

I'm trying to finish my level, but there's some sort of magical laziness shield which hinders me to finish it
I got a whole (or not) new idea for it though, I hope I do it right.

Yeey, I'm not the only one with that
This vaguely seems like Shoe's cruel twist on a contest.
This reminds me of the Hunger Games.
