Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Read the articles, there really fascinating how EE has grown over the recent years.
Did you know that the first hour Chris put in the Bs smiley he sold 7 Big spenders?
Did you know on the first day beta was released, Chris made $300?
Feel free to discuss.

The most interesting piece of information I got out of this was when he said "I am not a smart man".
10k a month, not bad.
Very interesting. +rep for you for nice found!
For all the money Chris makes in one month, or so he says, he could at least add in a more advanced warning and banning system.
Sure, the game is mildly fun, but the customer service is crap. The moderators never talk to the players, don't listen when I send photographic proof of players breaking the rules, and they continue to add horrible features which no one likes (and don't care to hear what anyone thinks.)
This game is based around money, and because of such it has went from something fun to play into just another monetary scam. I only play EE to talk to other people once in a while, but I will never again spend a cent out of my pocket to support Chris Benjaminson.
Someone who makes 10K a month (supposedly) from one little game alone, certainly doesn't need anymore support. Let me know when you find an article of Chris donating some of that hard earned money to charity.
And he was right when he said, ""I am not a smart man""
Well the article was published February 2011, so the games conference was probably held a few months before then. So I bet Chris doesn't make as much as $10,000 per month nowadays.

Oh damn, this game was always about the money.
Chris, I am dissapoint.

"We said them that they would get a special smiley if they sent a postcard to my home... "
"In the first day we got 59....."
He's not getting 10.000$ anymore, he's getting 2.500 as he hides his money into a shoe.

I hope this game crashes quicker and he goes bankrupt, he doesn't deserve a penny.

Still, Chris' 'experiment', turned this game to crap. He was probably like 'oh look, I can get $50 for a little icon, I wonder how else I can scam these kids and their parents.', probably hence Builders Club and the classic tab.
If Chris wanted a fun game with a large community it would be free, but unless you have been playing since 2011 or earlier (or are wasteful enough to buy Builders Club), I fail to see how this game can be any fun. I know that block count doesn't always equal level quality, except it kinda does sometimes. And how can a new player easily get the blocks like we, free to play have, if they have not been playing for nearly as long?
Even if Chris doesn't make that much from the game anymore (which since this is old it could be more or less now that there is Bulders Club), the least he could do is just improve the general overall quality of the game ie, actually banning trouble makers, unlocking the smileys, and re-adding beta.
But he doesn't, and he won't.
All this game is, is another corporate scam.

you are still part of the numbers which keep this game alive
I sincerely hope this shames people out of buying things like the Big Spender and Builders' Club.
Says the guy spending $20 to fuel a community contest.
you are still part of the numbers which keep this game alive
Yea, but I don't contribute anything really. I don't contribute money, I don't recommend this to friends, in fact mostly all I do is troll and draw monsters, hardly a way to keep the game alive.
If anything I scare more people away compared to ones I attract.
well, i like to quit everybodyedits now. goodbye.

just let it go, leave ee
Oh, I remember this. The flash summit conference thing. The chat got disabled a few times because we were being silly but it was all good fun.
I have a link somewhere. Oh, here it is. It even has the chat; it'll take a while to load but the whole thing is there, just as it was in 2011.
Anyway, please remember that this was 2011 when EE was in its prime. He most likely doesn't even make that kind of money anymore, at least not from EE.

lmao "Toby, helps with web development" His job is basically to get attention from players. That's about it.
I kind of want to see the updated graphs for EE. Would be cool to see how much EE has improved/failed since the video.

Oh oh! I remember viewing that conference, it was funny. It's odd, because I don't think I spoke on the chat ^_^ but I remember watch this all.

Failgirl101, it's weird for me to say this but I agree with you. I mean, finally! What took you so long to understand this ? Was it a small piece of news that changed your perspective about what's going on in EE ? They don't care about us, they care about our MONEY.

Tomkakaz, I never disagreed with you, I just never agreed either. The problem is when you attack EE you do it without reason or conviction. Your facts are almost always based on slander, that you dramatize to prove a point.
Of course, I think EE is a crap game, but not because it doesn't have the potential. If Chris made everything free, and blocks unlimited can you imagine the levels that people could make? EE is a very powerful sandbox game with many unique features, and with the right amount of time (and blocks) the possibilities are endless.
And also, you always seem to want to blame Julian, but don't forget he is only a figurehead. The game is still run by and owned by Chris.
