Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

How has Everybody Edits changed?

I was gone for a very long time. You guys might remember from a long time ago. I left because of some of the changes that happened to EE and also because of other things like Minecraft ect. I just want to know what happened when I was gone. Also how is everyone?

Yes, and in be for people hate on the shoe, he has legitimately brought some great stuff like water, swamp, and zombies.
The most arguably hateful thing he has done was restrict items to his magic system, which is fixed now with the removal of decay.
People will refer to the 'Golden Times', but just ignore their crap.

EE is still as fun, if not funner with the game modes.   The only thing that really changed was the player count, and MrSh0e has went on an unlenght'd vacation.

Also MrShoe introduced his imaginary friend, MrVoid, and made him an administrator.

And I am doing fine, thank you for asking.

I'd like to expand on this a little more, because quite frankly the amount of ee-reactionaries here is overwhelming, as seen on this topic. I think they should calm down and stop glowing with hatred for no reason whatsoever, because it is them who mislead and persuade new players into hating an admin that has done nothing wrong, while simultaneously ruining his reputation.

nothing fundamental has changed. you create and play levels the same way, except now you have better bricks to use and more commands to help manage the world and players.

some people (ie the ones in that topic), for whatever reason, just love to ignore that fact and pretend like the game is now a miserable mess of obnoxiously bad updates because of MrShoe.

the truth is, the couple updates that people dislike are completely optional. builder's club is not required, nor is having a huge library of smileys to pick from.

the truth is, those people don't actually play the game. anyone that has any kind of involvement with the game itself knows with unquestionable certainty that the game is far better now than it ever was.

this answers the big question. the actual changes can be found on the blog.

Actually, the most hateful thing is the woot update killed at least half of EE population.

Wow a lot has changed. Does Peter, RPGmaster and Chris still work on the game or no? I am quite sad because I had beta and an account connected to Facebook and now I can't play on the game website.

You sure deserve post of year (and possibly life) of this forum as it has pretty much summed up 75% of topics in this category.

Re: How has Everybody Edits changed?

MrShoe added lots of good updates. I think the updates were definitely called for (some exceptions, of course), but the updates were rushed quite quickly; "like putting a new fish in a tank. You don't just drop it in, you let the bag sit in the water a while."

I think the decline in daily users is fairly evident of undesirable events - it'd probably be illogical to point at anything though, I don't think anyone knows why... but there are a few good guesses.

In all seriousness, I never thought about that before. I would probably just "drop it in". Ouch.

I personally think the forced woot order system lost a few people...
It took him a considerable amount of time to add the other order methods.

Re: How has Everybody Edits changed?

I don't even mind the woots, it's the class system that annoyed me most (Including the smiley restrictions which we still have [However magic coins no longer decay so it's not so bad I suppose]). Unless that's what you mean by woots, since that's what they were initially called. I think they should just get rid of magic coins altogether and think of a better way for an increased maximum energy.

There aren't many fun levels in the lobby now, even before when people said EE turned crap, there were still levels like Yo!Scroll and also Floddy's Digbot came back for a while (But then disappeared). There was also that new Wurm boss.

There are some fun levels out there though, last night there was that "U beat then U pro" or whatever it was called which wasn't all that bad (although an unoriginal title). There is also Whatter's Boss and also Lpeugliot9's Boss which are the only bosses that I go to nowadays.

So EE is still fundamentally the same and there are fun things to do, but actually there's this "feel" that there was but no longer is. I can't describe it, there was heat and hype, actually around the time that Floddy's Digbot came about and when I first got chat, and also later when Forgotten Veil was released.

Re: How has Everybody Edits changed?

A moderator named MrShoe came,
And the whole community thought he ruined the game.
He added lots of blocks and smiles,
But that didn't stop people from raging for miles.

Magic, hazard, potion, and woot systems were all a big add,
But the community thought it got really bad.
A guy named Mrvoid had become a new mod,
For he was accused of being MrShoe's extra account so he could finally get a nod.

Builders Club was added as a beta replacement,
From the Shoe that was thought of by the community as living in his mom's basement.
Lots of old players have gone
But the hardcore players have been playing even if they break a bone.

Not much changed, just a bit more drama and a bit less reason to play
