Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

I addition to the last topic I made of EE shortening the amount of caps you can have, I also noticed limits to the amount of characters or group of characters you can use repeatedly.
For example:
lololololololol you're funny!
Would turn out in the chat as:
lololo you're funny!
Or:
ZOMG ZOMG ZOMG ZOMG ZOMG ZOMG ZOMG ZOMG ZOMG ZOMG ZOMG ZOMG
Would show as:
ZOMG ZOMG ZOMG ZOMG
Again, WHY. just WHY. There is no reason for this! I mean, It'd be different if this prevented spam. IT DOESN'T. Like, AT ALL. What was the point of even adding this to chat in the first place? It doesn't stop spam, doesn't even change it, and it gets annoying especially if you're trying repeat a word in the sentence. Although it's not as much as a bug as the CAPS LIMIT, it still sucks and has no actual purpose to it.

Well, it does sort of stop it. If I were all "QQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQ [etc]" because Q is a large letter, then it would shorten in to like four Qs. I don't see why you'd have to repeat a word like more than twice [had had, for example] anyway.

Possibly anti-spam mechanisms.
You can bypass it similar to how you bypass the caps limit.
lololo?lololo?lololo
Would come out like this:
lololololololololo
But like zoey2070 said, there isn't much of a reason that you should have to repeat a word or letter. Unless you're trying to be funny, but this kinda stuff is often unfunny.
