The EE Assembly

Greetings, everyone. I am proud to state that I will be begin a new council called, "The EE Assembly", just as the title of the thread states. What occurs in this particular council is we discuss the matters of EE which may usually consist of issues that we would like resolved during meetings, which will occur on every Wednesday, unless for some sort of reason I will not be able to host it, which in that case, I will pass on the job to another trustworthy member to host in their world, or I will change the date of the meeting so that I will be able to attend it.

You should attempt to attend all meetings as possible, unless a matter which you cannot be online occurs, in which you should try to forewarn me in a post or PM about.

I will announce what time we will have each meeting on here, because I myself may not be online on certain days either. Here is the world we work at, where we have our meetings.

1. Well, we gather to discuss issues and whatnot of EE for instance: Why haven't the moderators been active and working on EE as much?

2. Well, no, er, maybe. I don't know. It's not a crew, more of a gathering. I'll leave it to the moderators to decide.

If everyone really does think it's bad, I'll lock it. I don't want people to hate me here.

I'm sorry, I didn't mean to get anyone mad at me for my idea, I just, wanted to support the game, and, assist in making it more fun by sorting out our problems, but, I didn't realize there was already something with a duplicate purpose, and, I, I'm sorry. Don't request a lock, unless you really want one. Also don't let other people ruin your ideas, if you think it's a good idea, stick with it. Who knows, it could actually work out great.

@Everyone Else:
If he/she wants to do this, let him/her do it. It doesn't matter if the forum does the same thing, or if you think it's useless. This is just one thing I hate about the forums. People are always ruining things that others try to do. Honestly, if I ever leave this game it'll be because of the community and not the bad updates. Learn to support your fellow players, not bring them down.

If any of the game administrators cared about what we said, this idea could really be a start of something great. I think if we gather enough players, it could make a difference. Not so much with the development of the game, but with improving the community, and the experience as a whole.

Anyways, I'd like to give you a few suggestions to improve this idea:

First, and most important, make sure you keep at it. Whether you get criticised or not, make sure you stick with it for at least a couple of days/weeks before you give up. It may turn out to be successful, or it may turn out to be too much to handle.

Second, try to keep it active, and follow the schedule! If you say Wednesday, stay with Wednesday except for rare occasions when it won't work out.

Third, make a difference. Since just discussing EE issues won't make a difference, try assessing ways to fix them manually, without a higher power. Also, discuss ways to make EE more creative; levels that could be created, ideas that can be executed (excuse my redundancy).

Fourth, be confident. You clearly have a self-esteem issue, and that's not something that can be easily boosted. To be honest, I have a very low self-esteem, so it's a bit hypocritical of me to say this, but as a leader, you won't have respectful followers if you are timid.

I could think of many more ways to build this organisation up, but I will leave that to you to discover.

Now, if you really plan on sticking with this (and following my first/second suggestion in general), I will join.

Hey, I wasn't trying to be an ****, I was just pointing out that we already have discussions about EE on the forums. I'm all for bringing that into the actual game where it will be seen more by more players. I support this, but I probably won't be able to join due to time differences.

Okay, alright. I will boost my self esteem and take your advice, but, before anything else is settled, I need to say something.

I didn't intend on a whole flame war from my fear of dislike of another whole individual, but only to state that I apologize if they dislike my idea. Swearing at someone and calling them names isn't necessary either. I'll continue this, in hope it will stop a possible argument between everyone.

The schedule is regular and we will have the meeting this Wednesday, so if you'd like to join, please let me know as soon as possible. I'm also very aware that the administrators don't pay much attention to this game, and us sending in our group approved ideas for the game won't change anything. But, as whoever said it previously, we will try to help things within our own power to change the game itself to make it better.

P.S. I don't have a self esteem issue, as I stated previously, I just don't want people to feel anger toward me for suggesting my ideas.

For the record, that wasn't me, my sister got on my account (she plays EE too, just a lot less frequently).

But I generally agree with what he said. Fiendish Llama, I understand you didn't mean to sound like a "****", I'm glad you clarified.

I think the gist of my sisters post is correct though, give him a break.

I don't see a flame war, or an argument. To me, you're just acting like everyone here are big monsters who will verbally eat you with their metaphorical teeth, and you have to make sure you don't get them angry.

No, we're not going to verbally eat you we're just giving advice - suggestions as to what you should do.

I would say that this is identical to what you can do on the forums, however there might be advantages (that you should tell us, since you started this idea) that distinguishes the two, and in turn convince other people to support your idea.

^My sister had posted something, while not really flaming, was harsh (She posted as me). The worst she did was use the word [butt]hat to describe the people needlessly ripping this idea apart

Nice point there.

For one thing, it's quicker response. Not saying the response rate on forumify is slow, but the latter IS quicker.

Second, let's say you want to introduce a certain method, or show an example of a creative minigame. Wouldn't it be easier to show it in EE rather than take and upload a picture?

Third, you've got people who CARE to listen. I mean, that is what they signed up for, correct? If they really do want the best for the future of EE, they'll give you their honest opinion on your idea, and discuss it. (No reference to this thread intended.)

I quite like this idea, even though I'd prefer discussing the problems of EE on the forums. Consider me a member. However I think it's better to just have a level with the owner just hosting and anyone can come in, and get edit if they need to. That way we can get ideas from more people. After all, who has the authority to decide whether and how EE needs to be changed? The more the merrier.

I guess the meeting's tomorrow then? See you then.

Yes, live is the perfect way to describe it.

So, are you joining as a member or, does "Nothing is written yet" mean no promises on joining, or?

If I can, I'll attend the first meeting. I'm starting something soon, which might take care of the loss of appeal and the lack of good mapmakers in the game. I think it might be wise to be there for your first meeting of this Assembly to talk about it, but I'm not sure how much detail I'll go into yet. What time?

Everyone, since the meeting is starting in about 30 minutes, it is advised you head to the world, because it will take about 30 minutes for everyone to get there.
