It has been considered but we will not be adding a shoutbox (chatbox at the top/bottom of the forum, for those confused) to this forum.

I never really understood the point of shoutboxes. I don't think it's for chatting, more like for bringing attention to something.

I think you'll find most forums don't have a shoutbox because of the excessive amounts of spam and profanity. After all, who's there to delete it? There's not a moderator online every second of the day, much less reading the shoutbox every second of the day.
