Does anyone know Emalton, and can they tell him to shut down his adbot? It's freaking annoying. I'm trying to play a world, but people keep spamming the chat, and the owner isn't there to kick it.

If anyone knows whose running it (Emalton or other) please tell them to stop -___-

It's a remake of zerk, a broadcasting bot. He turns adbot on about every two weeks.

It shouldn't be on at all. People are abusing it, and it's useless anyways.

He can shut it down, and he should. He's being a public nuisance.

You have to respect that, broadcasting can ask if someone want enter in level or something like else, if you hate it, mute it, its possible.

I've never like bots, and certainly not this one. It doesn't matter that you can mute it. Problem is, bots ruin EE. When they are out at first they are cool, but it's not long before they're replicated and mass produced. No one needs a chat bot spamming the different rooms of EE regardless. If you want to chat with someone friend them or find them on the forum. Adbot should be called spambot.

It i agree, but some bots are very useful, this one is for send messages and tell news.

Why shut it down? The bot has its uses... if it annoys you then mute adbot. Yes it gets spammy but its still usefull... I think Emalton should ban users from the bot who always spam the chat with it...

I was in a room by Stagecrew with Boh and Gkabyssflorida, but Stagecrew was not there. I was playing the level when adbot came in. Without the owner no one could kick the bot.

Next thing you know immature children started spamming the chat via adbot either advertising levels or cursing each other. EE does not need a tool like that. That is what the forums are for -___-

I think Adbot would be fine in the RIGHT hands. In the wrong hands it's just a spamfest. I still find, if it's for advertising worlds e.t.c it's wrong, but to call a meeting, or Congratulate everyone, or say happy birthday/anniversary to EE, or talk about news about updates e.t.c are fine, and would be awesome to have.

Well Emalton should work on his attitude issue. I don't think EE needs adbot to begin with, but he doesn't need to tell me to die just because I disagree with him. Obvs, I'm more mature than to take his childishness seriously, but cyber bullying is a serious issue. I don't care how old you are, you shouldn't tell someone else to die because you don't know their emotional state and whether or not they may take you seriously.

Adbot is in RIGHT hands, we can do a command like !goto [world ID], to go to your world, to only who want adbot in the world.

It's not in the right hands though. It's in the hands of someone immature who doesn't know how to properly control it. It's being used to flood the chat when it enters a world without the owner present (most worlds) and he needs to grow up because dying is not something that you can tell someone to do.

But you can't get the bot out of a world unless your the owner. Most worlds' owners don't have the time to hang around 24/7. When they're gone, then there's nothing stopping the bot from flooding the chat with spam.

Are you saying that's possible now? Because the posts of the others would contradict that. If you are suggesting it, then it is doubtful that Emalton would bother with it. He is not someone who should have control of a bot capable of mass spam.

Why are you saying "we"? You have no control over the situation. (For that matter, this entire discussion is pretty pointless. Emalton won't change or stop acting immaturely because some irritated people made a topic.) The only one who can say that they will or will not shut down the bot is Emalton. Spam is easily preventable. What it isn't is something that Emalton would do willingly.

Shuttind down bot is easy,but it will not prevent overrall spam, im telling "We" because me and emalton owns teccrew, i can decide with him about shut down or not the adbot.

It definitely won't eliminate all spam, but taking out the adbot would take out the overwhelming majority of spam in every world adbot visits.
If you have some control, then why don't you tell Emalton to add a few precautionary measures like the one you mentioned here?
