Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Master1: While I agree with you 100% that they didn't copy those maps from goeyfun, Atilla is right about not deleting the maps. No matter how right you are convinced you are, or how justified you feel, that is the wrong way to go about things. German's felt that they were the superior, and felt justified in doing all the atrocities they pulled during the holocaust. While that seems like an awfully big leap to compare that to this, the moral reasoning behind both decisions aren't that far apart.
Besides, for all we know, goeyfun copied those worlds because he likes them, and would like to be able to play them whenever he wants without having to go searching for them, and isn't trying to steal credit away from the original creators. We simply don't have the evidence. If we were to delete those worlds of someone who was merely a big fan not meaning to do any harm, how would that make us look?
*The Nazi's
Please don't imply that all Germans were happy/wanted/were complicit with the Holocaust.
Guys we all know MIHB and Thanel copied the worlds from goeyfun. Goeyfun is a poorly known professional builder who worked really hard on those levels just for some popular and well known players to copy them. Atilla you should delete all the levels MIHB and Thanel have, I will be messaging the very active MrShoe about this and requesting a ban on MIHB and Thanel.

If Goeyfun copied the worlds because he liked them, then why doesn't he give credit to the original creators of the world? I agree with Master1, it doesn't take a genius to figure out Goeyfun is a copier. As for proof?

Furthermore MIHB and Thanel are mature respected members of the community. I'm sure I'm not the only one who can vouch for them. No one that I'm aware of, besides the OP, was previously aware of the user Goeyfun. All the evidence points to Goeyfun being a copier. If Goeyfun wanted to make a tribute to the levels he enjoyed, he would have given credit to the original creators, but he didn't. Goeyfuns copied worlds should be cleared.

Ok, I'm going to make a tool to hopefully date when the world was created giving empirical proof.
Ok, I didn't know how people would take me straight out saying nazi in a thread like this in General Discussions. Also, Failgirl, for all we know he could have not intend for anybody to see those worlds, and didn't add anything to them. We can't base all our actions on how justified we feel our opinions are.

Ok Kingoftheozone, I'm going to copy some of your world on to my public profile and keep them there for personal reasons and not give you credit. You see how stupid that sounds? It doesn't matter WHY he did it, because the blame isn't based on Goeyfun's reasoning for copying. Even without knowing Goeyfuns perspective we already know he's guilty of level copying. I'm sure this will be sorted out after Merideth obtains evidence of such. It doesn't matter if Goeyfun feels bad or not, he should still face the consequences so he doesn't do it again. Whether he met harm or not, it's not fair to copy someone elses work and claim it on your own. Though Goeyfun has never stated his reasoning for copying, I think just the act of owning the levels, without giving credit to the original creators, is enough to say what he's doing is not right.

Furthermore if he wanted to keep the worlds private, he could always have use the /visible false command. It's not that hard.

What do you mean by 'created'? The date that the level was bought from the shop certainly will not provide empirical proof, one of my newest maps is made in one of my oldest levels... and I can't think what else you'd be looking at.
It's a starting place, there might be other things I can check.

You can probably check the last time someone saved a world. However, if someone made a few tiny changes to a world and saved it, that could be a problem.

For all we know he has no clue about these forums, you do, and would deliberate copy the levels with the intention for people to see. We can't assume he knows everything about ee that we do, and hell, possibly never thought anyone would have a reason to even view his profile. Hell, in his view it's like downloading a song from somebody so that you can listen to it whenever you want. He could have a totally different view on things... and we just cannot expect everyone to be as knowledgeable about ee or this sort of thing as we are.
I mean damn, he could have just copied the maps to study them and learn how to make cooler stuff from those maps. It's not like the game gets updated anymore, he could not even know about those commands, and maybe he hasn't even noticed the little help link at the top, it's so small, I don't even pay attention to it, I can totally see someone overlooking that. Hell, did you witness those two people create those maps throughout the entire building process? For all we know, they could have copied some unknown persons map, because hell, no one is going to question an EX member compared to someone we don't know.
EDIT: I am just sick of people assuming that somebody they don't know do things with the worst possible intention, for all we know, this is just something very innocent that happened, and everyone is going crazy over this whole thing for no damn reason.

Nobody is assuming Goeyfun did it with the worst possible intention. I am not mad at Goeyfun, I don't even know who Goeyfun is. Frankly it doesn't matter who the level copier is or why they did it. Copying someone elses level without giving proper credit is stealing. Whether this was intentional or not is unimportant.
-
Let us assume I am a new player to EE. The first level I enter is "Be a Pro Ninja" by Goeyfun. I have never met nor seen Thanel's Skyscraper, so I assume the original level was made by Goeyfun. Even if I hadn't met Goeyfun, I would assume the level is made by Goeyfun because there is no evidence that points to the contrary. Now, suppose another user had told me it was a copy of a level made by Thanel. Then I would not believe them, because how would I know who made the original without prior knowledge of EE and its community. Therefore I would ignorantly be fighting for the rights of a person who has stolen another users work, and that is a problem.

If Goeyfun copied the level and gave credit that is one thing, but he did not. If made the level private that is another thing, but he did not. Whether he did it ignorantly or with malicious intent does not matter. The fact is he is hosting a world, that does not belong to him, and he is not giving the original creator. Thus, unless Goeyfun gives credit to the original creator, he is stealing. And copied worlds should be cleared, because it's not fair to the one who created the original artwork.
Met goeyfun in-game, and asked him straight out.
This was pretty much his "answer"
I tried to enquire further, but this is all I got
Which I don't even understand...

I don't think he is a copier. :/
Don't be so rude.
I think Thanel and Mihb are copiers, because Goeyfun joined like 2 years before them.
Don't blame good players unless you have proof...

If that's not empirical proof I'm not sure what is.

im not even sure what to say to this. but who of them is making the levels.... and who really cares?

sorry i didnt mean to come off like a ****. but it seems weird he would share that, he could get banned if anyone actually moderated this game.

Just because goeyfun joined earlier, Mihb could have made his world then goeyfun could copy. Who ever said it was copied when the player started playing ee?

I have solved the little "issue".
Meredith said that she will clear those worlds if Goeyfun won't give any credit to the original world creator.
I convinced Goeyfun to credit them directly on the minimap and adding a world portal leading to the original world.
I hope that helps.. still a copy. But it's worth gravedigging old worlds to bring something well in the lobby.
Near the spawn location a world portal will be present leading to the original.
