Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Back from the dead
A year ago, we went on summer vacation.
Then everything went crazy for our little game company, Cape, and Mr Shoe and Mr Void have been booked solid on other projects since then.
We never abandoned the game, and we certainly never planned to leave EE without updates for an entire year, but sometimes crap happens, and that’s unfortunately how things turned out.
We’re sorry about that. We know you love EE, and want development to continue on it.
Fortunately, both Mr Shoe and Mr Void are close to being finished on their long projects, and we will start working on EE again for a little while, starting with fixing the worst bugs.
We will also discuss how we will continue with EE development in the future, and let you all know what we’re going to do, as soon as we know.
So, this means that nothing changed, they just were on a hiatus, they'll start doing updates again just like the ones they did last year, when MrShoe and Mrvoid finish whatever they're working on.
Also, in a slightly different topic, MrShoe isn't the one who owns EE after Chris sold it, it's their game company (Brian Meidell is Cape Copenhagen's CEO, and "Cape Copenhagen is in the "Team" box in the right column in the blog). Maybe Chris sold it to Cape Copenhagen or to MrShoe and MrShoe sold/gave it to his game company.
Yep. It seems like Brian was drunk when he wrote that or something, forgetting that it's a kids' game and using 'bad words'.
Anyhow, we're still awaiting everything yet so far, and all is looking to be well for this odd smiley face game.

It's nice to see that some attention is coming back in the form of bug fixes/updates.
The only thing that worry's me is that they'll start working on EE again for a little while. So they're not really going to have a sustainable moderation to the game for years to come?

They work on a lot of other stuff. And Brian said before that the only reason he is updating the game is because of the player base. So as long as there is a player base, there will be some updates.

It wasn't supposed to be an evil joke the first time. He asked almost a whole day after I had posted it, to not put it on the forums. So I had to hurry up and think of something. I can't believe so many people seriously thought I was lying. BuzzerBee's survey was sent to him and that is what he is basing bug fixes on.

Where do I apply to the job that you get that 1 year long summer vacation where you also work on some "projects" ?
Good thing they will open the new season with the thing called Player Club where you will be able to enter exclusive rooms I suppose. They shouldn't miss that idea! Better mail them that brb.

I am trying to detect sarcasm in this statement.

I swear if the first update reinstates magic decay... I'm 9 coins from level 12.
Lol, I think the woots and magic thing was a terrible idea. But was cheaper to pay for while they were on hiatus.

I hope they don't update it sooner. I was planning to get all the blocks and smileys in the shop before an update lol.
The first few updates aren't going to be anything you can buy in the shop, they will be bug fixes and optimization, so you'll still have time.
@JaWapa: We did it!

I'm really glad this is all happening.
Future updates should also consider suggestion here on the forums.

A few forum users provided suggestions in BuzzerBee's survey. Everything that was submitted in the survey was sent to Brian.

Not to be not-optimistic... They're probably just getting out hopes up. I won't be surprised if a few bugs are fixed, then nothing else happens.
I sure hope they do put some more stuff in the shop though....

This post has cured my depression.
starting with fixing the worst bugs.
Which bugs are the "worst bugs" exactly?
I are back.

builders club godmode has 8 legs.
I don't mean to toot my own horn or anything, but I shortly before this blog post was made, I sent this email to Brian:

In any case, I feel like I might have slightly provoked him considering how he started the message. (Not trying to sound selfish or anything.)
Anyways, I'm sort of glad to hear this, I suppose. If they're going to be removing the worst bugs in EE, I suggest they remove lag completely. It really makes it a physical impossibility to play.
Better yet, make EE run at 1080p 60 FPS. That would be amazing. Too bad the game is only 16 bit.
By the way, has anyone considered if Mr. Shoe and Mr. Void's projects might have any relation to EE? I doubt it, but it is possible.
