Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

The 'Diamond Block', too expensive or justified?

The Diamond Block, over-priced or justifiable?

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Do you think the Diamond Block is too expensive or is ok the way it is? After all, it does cost $90/1000 gems! I mean, $90 just for a smiley-changing block is a-bit too expensive. The 'cake' block is like the same as the diamond block but only costs 50 gems. I know that is seen as more prestigious if you have something like that which can be a rarity, but having it that much money is a bit too much? Don't you think?

Personally, I think it is great that the diamond block is seen as a difficult item to obtain because of the amount of money to spend, but maybe if they lowered the price a little bit, they might have more sales. After all the mods did say that they are getting little income from EE, so having a change like this could bring in more money? Do you agree or do you think it should be the same as it is now?

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Anywho, thanks for reading!

1000 gems?? I thought it was 500. I agree that it's nice to have a rare block, but it shouldn't be 1000 gems. Maybe 500 would be better.

I think the diamond block was justified. It was a way to show that you supported the game, and give you something special because you provided monetary funds. Unfortunately, the shift from donating money to the game to regular payments in more recent updates have made it look more like a scam.

People aren't going to buy as many diamonds with BC around: why pay 100 dollars for a single block, when you can have all blocks (and exclusive signs, aura, more friends, a special badge...) for less money now?

But I don't think it should be changed. People have payed $100 to support the game, and making it cost less would only create more hate in the community. (think about the people who quit because of free chat)

Jkiller21 strongly disagrees with you considering he bought 27 of diamond blocks.

Too bad he got banned for shared account... thousands of dollars spent for nothing.

Support the game? There isn't an admin to really make profit out of it - these expensive blocks were made to leech money off users' parents - and it's probably going to die in a few months, at least in my opinion.

So this user spent $2430-ish amount of money on a kid's game? Why would you even need that many diamond blocks? Even if I was rich I wouldn't spend that kind of money on the game...

would it be better if he spent $2000+ on an adults game?

Obviously not, since I am talking about EE I am mentioning 'kids' and it isn't understandable to invest that sort of money in a game at all, regardless of the enjoyability factor.

I just went through reading the whole thread, and there are many different rumors on how he got the gems.

I suppose we are just 'assuming' how he obtained that many diamond blocks. Even 1 diamond block is alot to pay, and I've seen a fair few knocking around previously (not so much nowadays...)

100 gems!? I thought it was like 100-500 gems! I think $100 (roughly) is a bit much for a shiny block on a game.
And as to how someone got a lot of diamonds... isn't there a glitch where if a player trolls coins then action blocks will be infinite to the world owner?

That glitch was discovered quite a bit later by Terence22205. Jkiller21 had 27 diamond blocks long before the glitch was ever found out.
Edit: http://eeforumify.com/viewtopic.php?id=27320 Here it is, 5 - 6 months difference in Jkiller21 having 27 diamonds and the glitch of infinite action blocks being found out.

No I Think That Is Unjustifible Because Who Would Spend 1000 On A Game. They Could Be Supporting Their Local Militia Instead. This Is An Outrage And Nobody Would Ever Thing To Do This. Some Kid Probably Stole Their Moms Credit Card To Get This Block. Benjaminsen Is Causing Kredit Kard Fraud. sTOP tHE mADNESS!

Kind of odd lurking on this forum and seeing my name.

Anyways, it was hummy cakes that discovered it IIRC. He just merely used my friend 'itlives' who had a diamond for the post you linked. I recall us using it for weeks prior to that for infinite trophies and portals and so on in my mini games level. I then brought Shoe and Void into the level a month or two afterwards and just told them about it, not how it happened or how to patch it. Not sure if they have yet, I'm guessing not.

---------

@OP, they, just like with the big spender smiley, are optional ways to donate to the game. Of course it's "justified". No one is forcing you to purchase a useless block that turns guests in your level silver. Not much else to the discussion. /thread
