What do the secret mods do? Do they even exist anymore?

Cyclone stated in the official mod/admin FAQ that:

Are there really any secret mods?
Yes.

So, years down the line from that post, are there still secret mods? If there are secret moderators, im assuming they would provide feedback to the moderators (i.e Julian & Brian ect) on who to kick and ban, if this is the case, aren't they already Guardians?

There are secret mods, none of which actually play the game much anymore.

Any moderator has access to the /banuser command, any details on the ban is specified as /banuser <user> <reason> and it's logged within the database along with other user records, also showing who banned someone.

This was a critical failure for secret moderators, because it took minimal effort to scan through the database and see other peoples ban reasons, and find secret mods.

Well, how about instead of Guardian's there are secret moderators?

A positive gained from this would be the selected few would be spared the anonymity, so they aren't prone to judgement/hate. However, their decisions would be misguided as the only evidence would be from chat logs, thus they wouldn't get a personal perspective from both players in the incident, making it not as a professional decision.

So, there are flaws with this proposal. It's a shame to see no secret moderators active at all nowadays.

To solve the evidence problem, and same with the problems of evidence and reporting by players:

If an in-game video system is implemented, then people will be able to record the game with the in-game software, and send the video in the report.

EE doesn't need mods or guardians or any of that bs. Level owners can kick users they don't want. End of story.
