Guardian Vote

I'd like to know who the general community would like to have as guardians if the idea went forward.

Instead of ignoring the possibility I think we should have something we can take to Brian to ensure the idea does not decimate the game

So without further indroduction here are the rules:

To get a player onto the list someone must nominate them and then someone else must second the nomination. Any further votes will be added to the total votes.

You cannot vote or nominate yourself.

You can only vote three times

You cannot nominate and second the same person

Votes only count after you have received two nominations

I reserve the right to change these rules at anytime for benefit of the topic.

Not sure I got the rules right, do we nominate and then vote on nominations, or do our nominations count as the votes?
*EDIT* never mind I'm dumb, reread it and now I got it.

May i ask
1. Does that player have to be on forums? If i nominated someone who was suitable for the job, but no one knew, thats a bit unfair to their chances
2. Can already existing mods be guardians?
3. Can you change your vote?

If I knew who is 18+. Would make it quite easy to vote then - but giving my vote for someone who could (age wise) be my lil 10 years old child baffles me.

Based on my 5 years experience as volunteer for a single game I cannot believe that anyone younger than 23 is able to judge without any bit of bias toward anyone. Especially acting within the ruleset for the given game. It took a while to get into such stuff and it took me alot more time to train and teach others who joined "our" team.

Yes, there should be an age restriction and a NDA to be signed to make sure that none of the Guardians do not even think of abusing their access and abilities given by the game devs. I really hope the current games integrity remains untouched with the introduction of half-OPs etc.

alright, i think there should be a 3-sentence-rule, people have to write at least three sentences why they vote for someone - this makes people think about why they chose someone, and that's critical here. for example i first wanted first to vote for mihb, but then i asked myself why do i want to do so? I came up with various reasons: he is smart, mature etc. but i also noticed i rarely saw him these days on everybodyedits.

* my first vote goes to alexthementalone: he is active, makes smart posts, tries to come up with new topics and starts (while doing so) new conversations at this forum. also i had the luck to meet him in-game where he is quite friendly. i think he's 15-years-old - and mature enough.

No, that is because you show prejudice towards me, which affects your opinion of me, making it biased.

I'm not trying to be persuasive here, but I think I would be a good candidate for this opportunity, as coming from a normal EE player to a Guardian requires an increase in responsibility, and that is what changes someone's behaviour online. I already have the level in maturity, but the level would always sustainably be high if I had some encouragement, i.e in the form of a Guardian. I do not make any biased decisions either without looking at all the information.

I have absolutely no idea what you are trying to say about me, but it doesn't sound to good... Please rewrite so I can understand it.
Also, when you say "think of all the EVIL he could do," you should be referring to anyone with guardian powers. Anyone is capable of doing terrible things with that type of power. it depends on whether they make the right decision or not. I for one, would not become drunk with power and do horrible things. I've always been for helping the game, not hurting it.
