Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

It was a free code level with the code posted on the minimap. When I asked the people trolling why they were doing so they all left immediately, and some later joined again to immediately troll again. This would mean that they probably understand what trolling is. I would think they would apologize, or at least respond, definitely not come and do the same thing again without saying a word.
I do check the minimap, I just happen to make mistakes, and that is all that is necessary to lose minutes or hours of work.
Again I do not see why people should have to take precautions to enjoy what they want to do on EE rather than trolls not stopping what they are doing.
The fact is that I did not do anything to hurt anyone, while the trolls did. The fact that it is nearly impossible to stop trolling is not an excuse to not enforce rules against it, because it is just as difficult to make everyone take precautions.
If it is possible to enforce rules against trolling in levels where it is not allowed, or to enforce rules against people not taking precautions against trolling, I believe the best option would be to do both.
I am really just repeating points I have already said, but I have trouble understanding why trolls should not be blamed and victims should be blamed.
It is like saying that the person who was shot in the eye by a paintball gun should have taken better precautions against being hit in the eye, when the person with the paintball gun shot them in the eye on purpose, for fun.
My point is that I believe you should blame the person doing the action, not the receiver of the action, regardless of the severity of the action or its consequences.
Of course there is the chance that there could be mistakes or misunderstandings, in cases where no one is to blame. But if the person doing the action fully understands what they are doing they should be blamed.

I am not blaming anybody. I am saying that precautions are ridiculously easy. 2 , maybe 3 seconds to open and check the minimap, another half second to click twice and save. Would you rather use 5 seconds every 5-10 minutes to prevent total loss or do nothing and risk losing an hour of stuff?
If you keep using random hypothetical real life examples, I might as well too, since you're probably not going to stop. Imagine you live in a neighborhood with quite a lot of crime. You have lots of cash, but no bank account. Would you rather take time to open an account and save it, depositing every now and then, or risk your house.money being raided by a random person?
If you see how pointlessly irrelevant to the argument my example is, you will see how I feel about yours.

Honestly I think it makes sense. Despite the differences I can see the point you are making. Even if the situation is different, the concepts are the same to me. Sorry if I do not know how to create good arguments or consider the seriousness in situations. I admit that I am horrible at bringing up good arguments, but if something is wrong to me, regardless of the severity, I do not see differences in whether they should be permitted. This is why I have trouble understanding why discussions of reality are important in determining the rules of reality.
I would take the time to take precations, I do take the time to take precautions, but wouldn't it be better to just do away with something that is predominantly destructive?
I think that people should not have to take precautions when you can instead stop the actions. I agree that it would not be possible to keep people from trolling, but having a good report system and ongoing enforcement of rules will deter many people from trolling, and remove the people who do troll.
Giving room owners an ability to ban usernames or IPs would help a lot, actually.

This topic seems more of an open opinion discussion rather than a banning effort since HF's pleas will never be fulfilled.
There's nothing that can possibly happen from this thread. In-game mods won't see this, and they won't care. They have better things to do rather than banning people because one person decided that they needed some attention and created a rather sorry topic requesting their ban.

All of mine were for different reasons. My first one, was in disagreeing with his opinion on the first post, and thought it was just ridiculous. My second negative rep was because after Different55 asked him how old he was, and he refused to answer, I asked again, just being funny, and he gave me a negative rep falsely saying he did answer it, so I - repped him back. The third one I did was because I looked, and saw that the same people were spamming his rep all the way up, it was at -1 when I looked at it. It was negative for a reason, obviously.
So, since mine were all for different reasons, they should all be listed, oh wait, you wouldn't put anybody who gave two - reps for different reasons, but you did with people who + repped more than once.
The first 3 + reps he got were before he made this topic that is why I included them. I have not included anymore double reps after he made the topic. Fdoou originally gave him a +rep but them he -'d because of the spam, it still counts as a + but he -'d to get him to his true rep just as me. Basically I didn't count any double reps after he made these topics against trolling, I only included the first 3 rep he got as I consider them completely irrelevant to this whole trolling nonsense.

This is not a discussion of how someone's reputation got where it is, this is a discussion on a completely pointless attempt to rid EE of trolls. Please get back to that topic.
Although, this topic isn't even worth the thought when trolls can make new accounts in seconds and start trolling again. No matter how fast the mods could ban them, they'd all have new accounts as soon as they got back on EE. Not to mention that no mod with any sanity would never attempt to ban that many accounts in the first place. It would take way too much time and like I said, it's pointless when they can come back in seconds.

To rid EE of trolls is not just pointless. I want to make a better community with this "completely pointless attempt" at doing so.
What...?
You're not going to get anywhere with this. The mods won't waste their time banning that many people when they'll just make new accounts in seconds. Their work will be undoing itself faster than they can do it. It's pointless.

The mods need to add some sort of IPban then. That way it'll be harder for them to come back. It is not pointless, trolls CAN be stopped.

Stopping trolls is highly unpopular and takes away from the value of EE. Remember when we wanted the old EE back? When we wanted things they way they were, good or bad?
Plus, if a good level did get trolled, all the owner would need to do is ban the troller, and reset his level. Stop being such crying babies over an easily fixable matter.
why is this topic still alive?
just point and laugh at theHFnetwork and get on with your trolling
I agree with Treejoe.

2. Commence laughter.

@Master1 So, you're saying that because somebody trolls some levels, they should banned from the game "permanently"? They're actual people who play as well, you know. Also, pretty easy to reset an IP (Where I live, at least).

That's right. There can also be anti-trolling measures the players can take in order to reduce trolling. The trolls won't go away with the flick of a switch, but gradually.

It is you and about 2 supporters, versus everyone else. Your argument is indeed pointless.

IP bans will only eliminate the nub trolls, and they'll only be gone for at most a few months until they get a new IP. For anyone who really cares, an IP ban won't even slow them down.
And still there's the issue of AIN'T NOBODY GOT TIME FOR THAT. Who wants to give up days of their lives banning every troll on ee, when at best it will only delay them, at worst it's completely ineffective?

Alright, I'm going to try something new and see the opposing party's viewpoint on this.

Trolling is plain BAD. It is. It crushes people's hearts, the people who make the levels and then give out the codes to the complete strangers over the internet. They try, they try so hard to make levels. They put so much effort into making that "Boss2code" level, or the "500minigames" world. They put in dedication to the level. So what if it completely sucks? It's no worse than EX Crew.
Yes, they give the code, but it is the responsibility of the receiver to handle it with care. Even if they know there are no true consequences, they must live forever with enternal shame. That's hard to do, yet they do it anyways. They're all complete devils.
And yes, we know that people can kick those who troll their levels. They can also reset their level to how it was pre-troll. But that takes too much time. No one in today's society has a minute on their hands, especially when playing a flash game. Why should they take time out of their hands when they shouldn't have? Yet it happened. We also know they didn't have to give out the code in the first place. But they were being such KIND people. Kindness is goodness. It's not naive, it's all kind.
And because trollers are such bad people to the world, worst than terrorists, we need to ban them forever from the game. All the members from TI:1 need to be banned. Without remorse. Heck, in that case, let's just ban EVERY player who trolls. Let's make it against site rules to troll. And yes, those who troll will just make new accounts and such, but we should still waste time banning. It's for a good cause.
MrShoe MUST help us in this. He has nothing better to do anyways. He's probably got a family and such, but he should leave that behind and focus on priorities. We need him to take time off to ban every troller. It will be hard, but it must be done. He shall never stop. He must be completely dedicated to the cause, to his game. Of course, he will need to read this and be convinced, but he will. He will.
Of course, we must hail HF as our god. He is truly supreme. We will be slaves to his cause, and make sure all of TI:1 and all trollers are stopped. We must ban IPs, and lock topics. And why not? We must. HF is better than everyone else, he knows better about the good of EE than Chris. Chris is merely a figure. When we're done with our cause, all of EE will have HF to thank. For making sure such a fundemental part of EE was destroyed, as well as valuable and hard-working members banned.

Not convinced.
@HF
Your ranting against trolling will never work. All of the moderators have absolutely no problem with trolling as it is the responsibility of the level owner to keep it safe. If you get trolled, you deserve it. This is always true with any case. There have been many rants against trolling before and all have failed. Yours is one of the longest running yet biggest failing yet. Face it. You're not helping anyone, and you're wasting space on the forum. I suggest giving up. If you decide not to, well, it's your own time to waste on trying to put out a fire with a wooden box of coal.
^Exactly my point of view originally. I rarely troll levels but when I do, it's because it's the owner's fault for making me rage by running unfair bosses or minigames that make you redo the whole mini when you get the coin and other various annoying moments. In those situations, it's the owner's fault in my opinion as they purposely made it this way to make it "harder" for the players.

I.....I.....The stupidity of this thread gives me cancer.
Im with D55, no-one is going to ban all the trolls.
Trolling does not "crush peoples hearts". I only troll levels like "B OSS TO COD!" and they only have a few boxes with arrows in them. You know the like. I've said this before, and I will say it again. They have NOT spent hours on it.
Someone tried to come at me and say "So you're saying that if I came to one of your levels and trolled it, you would'nt care?", to which I responded, No. I wouldn't. I am able to keep things in perspective. This is just a game. My "levels" is just a bunch of pixels. True, i spent about an hour on each of my levels, but I would not be crushed, because OH LOOK AT THAT I CAN LOADLEVEL. WOAH.
Even if I couldn't, i STILL would not be crushed. ITS A CHILDRENS GAME.
Somewhere in this thread, someone said that the owner should not be punished by having to loadlevel.
what?
Punished?
Typing /loadlevel is not being PUNISHED, it takes literally half a second, and then /kick takes even less.
Obviously the other side is not listening to any of these arguments, yet still expecting us to listen to them. So Im done, unless there are even more ludicrous posts I simply MUST respond to.
Banning trolls would probably be the most unpopular move MrShoe and his cohorts could make.
But, you wont listen to this so its irrelevant.

I sent hours in my to code worlds, and it's not minutes the trolls waste. The trolls continuously appear over and over and over again. I was saying pilunish them because you are saying it is the victims fault for what the troll did.
I seem to be ignoring arguments because many do not apply to my argument. These do not matter to me [yet]:
Trolling only affects level that not a lot of time has been put into
No one would spend so much time banning trolls
It's impossible to stop all trolling
It's impossible to keep many trolls from trolling
Trolling is not serious enough to stop
Most people do not care about trolling
It takes no time to kick and load level
Wanting the old ee back(I never did)
Most unpopular action( does not determine if trolling is ok)
I will add to this post with a full argument to everything
