Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

The Question is, should we go back to the original forum?

I know this topic is located in the wrong sub-forum, but this is big news and would gain the most premiss here. If the mods need to move this topic, then I am fine with that.

Do we need an official forum?

Some of us say yes:

Some of us say no:

To be honest I believe the forum is cleaner than ever! You're all doing a good job! besides, the team of forumify has never (imo) been so complete and united, everyone knows what they're doing, ofc mistakes anyone can make but I don't feel like anyone from the staff is abusing their powers. Two years ago when half of the staff was absent, the forum got messy. So again great job!

It would be nice to hear your ideas on this matter.

Thanks for posting. //forums.everybodyedits.com/img/smilies/smile

who cares
if an official forum is created, which it wont, it's not gonna be much easier to direct people to in comparison to directing traffic here.
here's better because there's already people set up here.

overall - waste of time.

Re: The Question is, should we go back to the original forum?

I am all for a new forum, I was actually one of the first people to suggest it. I don't think Atilla and Meredith are a fair judge of character, my example being Fdoou. Fdoou gets absurd amounts of warnings and bans, and usually only one   of every two of those warnings are fair. I think it will also help to have a forum that's connected with the game for easier use of access to new players. They will be more easily able to identify moderators in case they need help.

Yes.
Admins here are tyrannical.
Most old players know ee.forumify.com than eeforumify.com.

If the official forums is back, we are going to lose all the good posts we had.

I'd like to hear about these aforementioned good posts. Seems like every topic nowadays is either spam or flaming, or if it is something interesting it's bombarded with "No one cares" posts.

Re: The Question is, should we go back to the original forum?

Ooh, I got my screenshot on my OP. Nice.

Though, to be serious, I wish for a few official forum. Like Failgirl101 summed up pretty well, the moderation here is biased and broken. An official forum would be more newbie-friendly and have moderation from experienced people and much easier to find. I support the idea of a new forum, and I am very excited for it.

Also, I am not sure if people heard, but Cyclone says "he is not sure" if it will be at the original address or another.

@AtMO: Yea I saw that. Made me sad. I hope this doesn't affect the choice for future moderation. My guess is that if a new forum is legit, Cyclone wants to preserve as much of the old one as possible. We all have a long history, and most people don't want to start at square one. So maybe they are discussing preserving the data from one database to another, but hopefully nothing more. I want real forum admins.

If the new forums come back, I'm going back over there. I prefer the old admin team to this admin team (no offense intended to current admin team, I just like the old one better).

This forum is exactly the same as the old forum, but without reputation. I hope the new forum doesn't have the reputation system... ugh... So much unnecessary drama e_e

Even if Fdoou was perma-banned, he would start off with a clean slate like what happened with this forum I suppose.

If we were to go back to the old forum, who would be admins? Benjaminsen, Rpgmaster2000 & Toby left, plus what moderators would there be? Lrussell, Tako & Different55. MrShoe and Mrvoid wouldn't moderate the forum as they work at Cape.

_________

Cape can't even produce an update for EE, never-mind moderate a forum!

Alex: I was told by Jawapa earlier the new forum would be moderated by the guardians.

Select new and good moderators, like MrShoe did choosing guardians, but having better choices.

Meredith is attempting to add it back.

Benjaminsen was never around, RPG was inactive, Toby was inactive, and the moderators could go back to being me, Tako, Chewy, Zoey and all the rest.

Cape can't even produce an update for EE, never-mind moderate a forum!

Nobody has ever expected the people who run EE to have anything to do with the forums. That was made clear from day 1.

I would have figured that they'd get enough drama from moderating EE to want to have anything to do with the forums, but okay.

Re: The Question is, should we go back to the original forum?

I'm fine with Cyclone taking back the forums since I quit, under the conditions that he improves password security.

If the old forums comes back, get ready for Guardians to moderate you on the forums and possibly being banned from the game because of your thoughts on the forums, or the other way around.

This is not something that I would want, and you would truly see tyranny once that happens.
I'm constantly amused of how little people think.

Re: The Question is, should we go back to the original forum?

Why should Guardians be moderating the forums? We already have an old admin team filtering and promoting the proper moderators and he's telling them to deal with it and let the guardians have higher status JUST because they pointed them?

That's just... wow...

I can't even...

Bah.
