Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

free chat
This isn't "free chat" and this never was "free chat"
I understand that you hate the idea of people communicating with each other, but I assure you, what you just said won't happen. Do you think the people on this forum are the type of people who make "hotels and rpgs"? I don't. Now, I don't use the forums much, so I can't tell you for sure, but this is just only mature forum users that get accepted into the group It's not like any other users couldn't do this, you know. All of the "hotel and rpg" loving noobs could make their own community chat, and guess what, I know this may seem like a hard topic but you can actually ignore them You can click on levels that don't say "hotel" or "rpg" It is really easy, and really simple.
But Fdoou if you were to kill all the levels off the list that you didn't like, there'd only be 0-2 worlds ever open in the lobby. Just because you don't like a type of level doesn't mean it deserves to go. That's what will truly kill EE, if you take away the levels that thousands of others enjoy. You can easily just avoid those levels you do not like.
@viperbro:
they probably would make thier own private chat if they were smart enough. Sadly, this never happened while FREE CHAT was around. Again, i repeat, they are the majority. They were the ones that made RPG levels flood the lobby. Ignore them i did, which meant there was literally nothing in the lobby worth playing.

@azurebutthurt
I'm always OK with noobs making nooby adventure levels, because that's the type of thing that grows to be great! As for social levels, those can only grow so far without adding gameplay in. Chat based levels effectively killed gameplay from being popular in the noob community. Same point with avoiding worlds, you're still wrong. read previous response
Chat is how people can make friends on EE. I don't know why people keep believing chat was ruining EE, if someone was bothering you, you could simply block them. Pay for chat is also no good when you're the only one with chat in a room. You may as well be non chat then. With free chat, players can more easily communicate with each other, grow friendships, and work together to create levels. Making most players mute doesn't improve upon the game at all- it only hinders it.

^ I take it you haven't played EE without chat?
here's what it was like:
-
find friendly person
acquire edit
write email
ur friends and can now chat
my friendlist in a nutshell
-
It's not simple ask someone to friend without chat, most of the games have free chat, everybody edits is the only game i ever saw that needs to pay-to-chat.
This is a false statement.

uncommon =/= bad
you also /vastly/ underestimate the community's ability to communicate without chat.
it's as simple as writing "FRIEND?" in blocks, and seeing if the quickchat response is yes.

I know how it works as I don't have chat, and it usually does not work that way. How am I suppose to make friends with those without edit? And maybe someone who I could be friends with doesn't want to give edit if they have it? And how does one ask for edit if they can't chat in the first place?
Chat should be free and if someone is bothering you it's simply /mute username
^ you have been ninja'd
but to restate:
you vastly underestimate people in general
its really really not that hard to make friends with someone using only blocks and a spoon.

Fdoou, why don't you listen AzurePudding instead looking for useless reasons to chat don't be free?

because she's wrong
You have yet to list any reasons why I apparently am, though. You are just ignoring my points and replying with something that my previous response just countered. "Not hard to make friends with blocks" you say, but I just asked how does one make friends with someone who doesn't have edit? How does one ask for edit without chat? I can't write "Edit pls" or "Wanna be friends?" without chat and without edit. And then you simply respond with a "just because" response. Weak.

No, you are wrong, RPGs and hotels world isn't even near a problem of everybody edits falling apart.

I have to agree with FDOOU about chat killing gameplay.
This doesn't mean RPGs and hotels worlds is a problem.

If they are having fun, it isn't a problem.

free chat creates more gameplay. There are other worlds besides RPGs and Hotels. Free chat allows players to form friendships with others and lets players work together to make new worlds. I like hearing compliments/criticisms in my levels, but without free chat, I can't get any of this.
Also you might not like hotels and RPGs but they are still gameplay for others. Just because it's not your thing doesn't mean it's worth nothing.
Why are people complaining now? Years ago, when chat was released, it was free, then changed to $0.01 and people did not seem as freaked out. Besides, if it is a "temporary" solution, why are people making such a big deal about all of it?

People freaked out even MORE last time. Chris even gave the smiley to everyone as an "apology."
Also, we don't know if it's only "temporarily," it could be permanent for all I know.
its young people vs old people :'):'):'):'):'):'):'):')
