Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Like 2 months ago, I did a thread about Level Reviews, but I don't think I explained my idea well.
It's like Level Creation section, but I can also review finished level, What to change / keep. Or I can simply give a note with an argumented review of it.
Also, Koto gave me the idea of a "Team" to review levels, basically, I make a group who plays the level that we need to review and we talk about it, the bad and good things..
Do you think this could work? If yes i'll probably do the thread Asap.

If you failed make many threads similar, I don't think so.
This is a false statement.

Many threads? I've only made one, with a bad explanation. Read more in details next time please

What about it? I just wanted to hear the thoughs of different users, please, don't start saying useless things such as your sentence, not in this thread at least.

Then you don't want to listen player's opinions.

If there is a sub forum for level reviews, than levels posted in the rooms forum should not be up for critique. You all criticize me for requesting no critique, but if you go on any decent art site you will see the artist should have the right to ask or not ask for critique. I would approve if the latter were the case.
Then what's the point of sharing a art?

Self-expression. Art isn't necessarily created for judgement, and it's also foolish to say I can list all the ways it can be used outside of that realm, but there are certainly many reasons to make art besides for others critique.

Failgirl please. Creature is actually right. If you don't want anybody to comment on your work then don't share it. Especially not on this forum, where it has been the norm for years for the rooms section to be used as a place where players can get critiques.
"if you cant take the 'fire" get out of the kitchen"
now stop being bootybothered.
Back on topic-
I think this would be a good idea if you could find a way to do it. I mean it would probably help worlds get better, because that's what criticism is for, but it might be hard to organize. But I would be for it

@Pyro: I will admit to the fallacy in my other topic (though pointing it out is really off-topic), regardless I mean what I say about critique. This is one of the issues I have with this forum, people don't know when to NOT comment on topics. If I ask for people to not critique, then people shouldn't waste their time critiquing. I don't plan on making any rooms anytime soon, but if I did I most certainly won't be sharing them on the forums.
If I want peoples advice I'd either post in level creation or ask users directly. Otherwise I think rooms should just be a place to share rooms and post win pics, not for critique (unless the OP posts otherwise.)

Everybody Edits is about critique. It's about making good worlds, feeling the success when people praise them, or if they're not that good, accepting the critique so that you can have tips on how to make a world that people will praise. If you never open yourself up to negative criticism chances are you won't make good worlds.
10 years and still awkward. Keep it up, baby!

From the EE FAQ:
EverybodyEdits is a 2D tilebased multiuser platform/maze game where players themselves can create and edit the worlds in real time.
As arrogant as I may be, I do not misunderstand the origins and purpose of the game. Of course we like to shun users who make levels we don't deem as 'good' or 'fun', but like I already said all this critique is subjective. I have met plenty of players who are happy with the mediocrity of box minis and sprite art, but how can that be when most players disdain such worlds? Well it goes back to the purpose of why we play. Not all worlds are created for critique. In fact, I bet most worlds are created with the intention of having fun with others. That's why you get all these terrible bosses, RPG's, and pseudo-platformers.
But you know what, who cares? If people are having fun making sub-par levels, and they are enjoying EE with their friends, then who are we to judge? Though likewise if a player decides they would like to try and make a more ambitious map with a theme, story, and general gaming path etc... it doesn't mean they are looking for people to judge. Sometimes people just want to share their ideas, regardless of whether we find value in them or not. And sometimes it can even be mean to try and critique these levels which are solely for self expression, because you're not taking into consideration the feelings of the artist.
The artist or world owner should have the final say in the purpose of the world, and whether or not they want critique. It's irritating to me how close minded you are all being about this subject, hence my anger. I think Boh gets it, but so far she's the only one.

hella long post
Ah that 'pro' condescension we all know and love. The whole point of having a community is to share levels so that we can grow together. Not so that one group can completely dismiss another. That's one thing that has always been wrong with this game. There has been a group of people who are considered "good", and instead of helping other people get better they just look down on everyone and complain.
Im not arguing with the main gist of your post, I just don't think that people should be barred from trying to help just because they aren't as good at making levels. The caste system is so last century.
Anywho, I see where you're coming from failgirl. I still think people should be allowed to comment on others peoples works if they, ya know, post them on a, ya know, forum. But some people do need to turn down on the intensity of their critiques.
EDIT: I just saw kirans post in the rooms section and he is asking for people to submit levels for review. That kind of renders this whole conversation pointless.

Yeah I asked TheYeti if he wanted me to review one thing because he rarely gets on forums
Even if they don't want help, it's always good to have the level in the view of another person. My levels gets better with the advices of the others, which are always usefull to me.
