Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Better to have all octaves. Great addition though.

YEEESSSS.

YYYYYYYYYYEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS.

I still want more octaves but I am grateful! This would have been so helpful in Let It Go.

Time to make more music (:

Re: Musicians Rejoice - Octave Expansion

This will be useful to a lot of music makers. I'm just sad that I spent time inventing ways of putting songs with more than two octaves into two octaves without losing any of the notes, and now they will mean nothing.

Re: Musicians Rejoice - Octave Expansion

Maybe some sort of scroll button can be added to the piano pop-up. I am aiming for something along the lines of an entire grand piano

I don't think he knows much about music //forums.everybodyedits.com/img/smilies/tongue

You can see in the chat that he didn't know what an octave was, and he was told it was c d e f g a b, so this was evidently misleading.

Thought I did.

I'm pretty sure he just have to insert more Hz to the existing notes, in 8-bit era that's how they make the music.

Not in this case, the EE source actually has individual files for each note (and drum noise)

Re: Musicians Rejoice - Octave Expansion

Hopefully they add more instruments after this. Like electric guitar with a punk smiley. Or some jazz instruments.

Re: Musicians Rejoice - Octave Expansion

Keep the old one and add buttons on the right/left of the piano popup to change the octave
Or even better, have multiple piano blocks, each a different octave
Was wondering why they didn't do that when they implemented the blocks

Plus I heard the new octave when he tried to do it like that, and it doesn't sound great.

I have the soundfont that Everybody Edits uses, and it has the higher notes (while still sounding decent).
