Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Did Mr. Shoe Cross the Line?

Chris said there would never be death in EE, yet here it is.   I just wanted to see the forum's opinion on this, whether Mr. Shoe crossed the line by going against Chris.

I won't pass judgment unless one or both of them say something about it.   For all I know, Chris said it was okay.

If he was told not to he shouldn't have. This tells us that he never confronts Chris before he updates and every time he says he does he's lying. I don't want death because it turns the game into an RPG when it's not and should never be. Therefore, I understand why Chris never wanted death.

Well be happy knowing that EE might never go back to the way it was. //forums.everybodyedits.com/img/smilies/big_smile Isn't that something to be happy about? eh?

But death could be good in adventure levels. But no more rpg stuff should be added.

He did?

All hope has been lost in this game. Looks like I'm staying on the forum forever.

Re: Did Mr. Shoe Cross the Line?

The fact that they are so limited, is a really bad thing.   1000 energy for 10 spikes?   You need at least 200 to do anything good, and more than that, for anything really worth going through all the trouble of getting them for.

If you will take a witness statement as proof ask Bobyy he was in the level when Chris said it yesterday I think.

It's like portals, and I like it.

Chris in Julian's level:

The wink was kind of creepy.

Sorry, no pics. :L

Re: Did Mr. Shoe Cross the Line?

If anybody mentions rpg elements i'll go insane.
Death is not limited to rpgs.
If only rpgs have death then the original super mario brothers is a rpg.

Re: Did Mr. Shoe Cross the Line?

Kinda pointless update. It was possible with portals before, and it's possible with portals now. Anything you can do with spikes you'll be better off using portals instead.

Chris said a lot of things, and yet here we are. If we're going to argue that Chris should fire MrShoe for not following precedent, then we have a very long list of things to support us.

Personally, I was appalled when I first saw spikes in EE, but I think MrShoe incorporated it surprisingly well (and I'm not one to compliment him).

Don't give me the "just use portals" argument. If we were to use that logic, then we would only have one block; a variety of graphics is nice.

Portals cost less and are more versatile. If you don't care about visuals, portals are better.

Ten spikes for 1000 energy (plus, say, two checkpoints for 500 energy,) or two portals (both of which you'd need to use either) for 1250 energy. The cost of ten spikes and two checkpoints is only slightly higher than that of two portals, yet it gives you more.

Your point about visuals is trivial; if we didn't care about visuals, then we wouldn't have different blocks.

Re: Did Mr. Shoe Cross the Line?

Geez, it's not like you explode into bloody chunks when you "die". It's hard to even think of it as death. Spikes are really just a block that teleport you to another block. Now if Mr. Shoe adds hitpoints, I might get worried.

It's that much? I thought it was around 750.

I actually think the spikes are kinda good. They just send you to another spot in the level and it's different from the usual portal.

In that case, I'm glad due to this recent update removing the facebook login from the EE website has caused me not be able to play.

The spikes kinda destroyed EE
But at least it's better than putting portals everywhere.

Re: Did Mr. Shoe Cross the Line?

I hate the new EE.
After Mr.hoe joined it have been going down day after day.
First all the pro builder left and it only crap levels.
Then he started taking over EE
Then it came alot of ueless stuff
Now he has all the famous levels that shouldent be famous.
Mr shoe detroys EE!
