[EDIT] You asked him if he wanted to be one, right? I'm sure he has a job and whatnot, being a forum moderator might not be on his to-do list.

Haha sorry. Just the bluntness of it all. Being a regular member all we know is "Jakery is the new mod!" instead of "Jakery has agreed to be the new mod!"

I'd have to agree. While I'm not sh*tting on Jakery's achievement (I suppose that's the right word), I think we have enough mods. Although Jakery does have the capability to rise above other mods and become even better than them, just think. We really haven't had a big problem with forum trolls, or an outbreak of spam threads/posts, so why was it necessary to appoint a new mod? The one part of this I understand is making diff and EDJ global.

With that being said, I congratulate Jakery (again). I'd +rep you, but I don't exactly think congratulation reps are a correct use of the rep system.

I don't think we need to unmod anyone. Having inactive mods doesn't really hurt the forums, so I don't see why any action has to be taken.
