Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

No, there are only a few worlds that people will click on, compared to all of the ones near the bottom with 1 or 2 people online. No one clicks on those. It's hard to get any plays at all on your level without bombing. Someone will probably come in every now and then but then they leave because your minis are too hard. That's what happens to me anyway, so I try to make my minis nub-friendly.

EE at it's finest.

We have people with their boss worlds and crappy art worlds that are bombed, while all the good worlds sit at the bottom empty.

Re: the guest bomb accounts

well. wouldn't be the optimal solution to your problem be joining worlds at the bottom, or use the randomize button? and stop flaming about all these mad account bombers? i mean, who cares (but you and kiran) about it? that's what ee is and has been like for ages. and thats how the real world works too (e.g. google ads).. even cyph1e had a account bomber for his worlds. were these bad? just because of that? i guess that's up to you.

I am a great anti supporter for account bombs, and have been since they were made
The real spirit of ee is earning your players, not just making them. Even if your world is the best in the world, then prove it. Show you can get to the top of the lobby without a bot. If a crap boss world gets more plays than you without a bot, then good on them, they earnt their players

Re: the guest bomb accounts

no good worlds can get to the top without guest/account bombs
many terrible worlds can, as everyone has seen lately

i don't see anything inherently wrong in them until this problem is fixed
it's virtually impossible to 'earn' your players if they never join in the first place

Perhaps the real spirit of EE is earning players, but people don't need to wait ages for players. Plus, ALOT of EE players have a low tendency, so when faced with a difficult challenge there gonna simply give up. Having an account bombed world helps out alot, there is nothing wrong with it IMO. The only exception is when people may bomb your level when you don't want them to, which is a rare occasion.

People who bomb do earn their players. Once it's at the top and people join, the bomb is usually removed. At that point, the level generally doesn't die down quickly unless it's really awful, people wanting to stay there = players earned.
I have never understood why people think bombing is bad. All it does is make it so people can actually see your world in the lobby. I refuse to spend months creating a world, just to let it sit at the bottom of the lobby and collect dust, while people play stairs to code.

Re: the guest bomb accounts

Bombing is bad for 3 reasons:
1. Doesn't earn his players.
Usually when i make a good level, people come like mateh, in like 5 minutes my world reach 20-25 Easy.

2. Crap levels can reach the top of lobby, which is ultra pathetic.
I saw a eeartist level called "teemo", there was like 25 bomb bots all day long.

3. With guest bomb bots noawday, people use it like crazy, you can be sure that like 3/4 of the top 15 of the lobby use a bomb bot.
But when i scroll down, i usually, (like always) better levels.

Same here, I usually don't have a problem getting people to come to my world. There are times where there are only 2-5 people in them, but I guess you have days like that.

I'm not saying that the 'bad' levels are at the top of the list, because I have seen some great worlds near the top of the list that were bombed.

Re: the guest bomb accounts

I think it's also to do with timing though. At certain times of the day there are more players online than there are at other times.

The only level I've been able to get people to go to without bombing is Skullz And Friends, which isn't really a proper level. I just go there with my friends and give them edit and we chat and draw and stuff. Usually a bunch more people come in asking for edit after that. But I don't understand, there's no effort put into a level like that and yet it gets loads of attention, while my real levels which I put lots of effort into don't get much attention.

Also, that Connect 4 level annoys me. It's constantly at the top of the lobby, the bot is constantly on. How is that even testing? And doesn't Connect 4 get old? I feel like other levels, including BALs, deserve those plays more.

Wow... Let's point out how wrong you are!
1. I've been putting this to the test today, by using one of the greatest worlds ever created on EE (Hakashouseoffun) It took me roughly 25 minutes to do a full playthrough (all coins + crown.) Throughout that playthrough, only 1 user joined the world and he/she left within 2 minutes.
- Since then, I've been afk in the world, just to see how long it would take. I'm currently going on another 25 minutes with no sign of players. *EDIT* Been there for over an hour at this point, the most I've seen is 3 users at once.
2. Even without bombing, "nub" levels would reach the top. The majority of the EE community isn't that skilled at playing, so they tend to play the easier "100 minigames to code" anyways.
3. Okay, let's take a look at what you just said here. "3/4 of the top 15" That means 11.25 worlds (I'll round to 11) Use a guest bomb bot at all times. EE generally has about 100 users online at once, and you are complaining about 11 of them guestbombing. How is that using it like crazy? Also this is a pretty terrible reason to hate on something. You are literally saying you hate it because people use it.
If you are going to give me reasons as to why you are correct, please make sure they are actually good.

Playing on words master1. You have better to do right?
I agree with the 2nd reason but the 1st and 3rd, not.

When i play on worlds, my friends mostly join, then people will come.

Yesterday i was soloing death dominion and like 10 people joined in a short amount of time

That was one coincidence, besides account bombing ensures that levels get to the top, the bad levels are catered to the less skilled players, whilst a fair few good levels being account bombed cater to the good players. It's a win-win situation on both parties. If you join a level and think it's nub, then just back out.

Re: the guest bomb accounts

Counting on your friends to join is almost just as bad as relying on bombing. They're probably going to stay in that world with you, even if they find the minis too hard, just like a bombed account would. They might be in the world for you, rather than to play the level. On the other hand, normal players who aren't your friends, might not stay. It is much harder to get your world to the top of the lobby if none of your friends are online. I guess that's why my Skullz And Friends is always successful, because I only open it for my friends.

What do you mean you don't agree with my 1st and 3rd reason? They weren't even reasons???? I was explaining why your reasons were incorrect...
By the way, I'm going on 4 hours in hakashouseoffun right now. The most amount it's had at one single moment is now 6. I think my point has been proven now. Good worlds still need bombs to reach the top. Hakashouseoffun is one of the greatest levels ever created.

I just noticed this. How does one 'solo' a level? Or how does one not 'solo' a level?

Let's say I have a boss requiring three players to be playable, and about five to actually be fun. When I get my second player (probably one of my friends), they will probably go idle. Once my third player comes, the second will be idle, and the third will either leave or go idle. The loop continues. Even if I get three active players (including myself), it will likely not be very active, because it will be boring without many players. This will not encourage these players to get others there, and my level will die with all the others.

...

Seems to be the right choice.
