I mean yea mods have done season sales before. I don't have any reason to complain about the classics, but if people do want a solution of some sort, I think seasonal sales are a reasonable answer.

I have a quick question to people: Why were we not told somewhere that these were gonna be turned into classics? I got no notification that showed up in EE or anything, so I never knew that those smileys were gonna become classics and I should focus on getting them, and now there's only one more day for me to be able to buy my new years 2013 smiley.

Also I still need 400 more energy, so 1000 minutes, or 16h40m+however much time it takes for me to log into EE and spend the energy (so 3:00 pm UDC at the earliest because sleep)... Hopefully the thingy won't happen before then, it would be a pain if I just wasted 950 energy.
What exact time on the 18th will this change happen?

It said on the blog. If you subscribed, you also would have gotten a notification that is basically a copy of the blog post.
